I have the recipe, but never tried it !

    dear Sunkan,
I am giving the recipe below, but since it is not available in Chennai, I have never tried it.
Big kalakai - 1 cup (remove the " kambu", slit, remove seeds & wash very well,
    then drain)
    Salt - 1 1/2 - 2 tbsp
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
    Hing, methi seeds, haldi
    Oil - 2 tbsp
Roast methi seeds & powder with hing.
In a kadai, heat oil, add mustard seeds, then drained kalakai & haldi. Saute till the water evaporates & it starts shrinking. Remove, add salt. Wait for 5 mts, then add chilli powder & methi-hing powder.
Adjust the spice level depending on how sour the kalakai is.
Try & please let me know.
    Love & regards,
    Chithra.

    A Clarification !!!

    Hello Chitra ma,

A bit busy these days...so am not able to try much of your recipes....but whenever I get time, I make it sure that I try your recipes.......I feel incomplete without trying or cooking your recipes:cry: .......Though I am busy I can't resist myself visiting this site (especially your section) everyday.

Now to clarification-- Can I use "Whole wheat" bread when trying bread recipes....like Bhatura, bread Payesh, bread Halwa,....etc,......if not then please could you specify the quality of bread required for these recipes.....

    Warm regards,
    Jay
