    Dear friends,

Yesterday, I was talking to one of my friends, and she was telling me, that my blog When did my boy grow up, really made her think, and then we went on to discuss my other scribblings.''

The chat with her made me want to retrace my journey and have a look at what i have penned so far, and was surprised to note it was more than 50 in english and more 10 in Hindi...

I would not have come this far without all the encouragements from my friends here.

Infact, i have been honored here by my friends, who wanted to use few of mine, and some of my friends did want me to compile all my scribblings (they say they are poems, i am still convincing myself..).

But this particular one is close to my heart for being the first one, I ever penned and posted.

As I walk through my memories.

As I walk through my memories,
    I see how far I have come…
What all I have gone through…
Is this really me, I am amazed..

The hurts and shocks I survived,
The surprises and lessons I learnt,
    The trials and turbulences that
    Have taught me more values
    And cemented by belief
    In love…..

However far I go, I look back
to keep my foot on the ground,
However high I fly, I look down,
    To gauge the distance ….
I have come, so returning back
    Will never hurt

As I grow older day by day,
I remember the hugs, holding hands,
    The smiles and the laughs….
And thank god for giving me a life of love….
Through the loves of my life.

Well there are few more that are close to me and my family will post them later..

    Dear Shanvy,
Memories make us to live in our world, if one day we lost all our memories; we are strangers in the lonely world. So your walk must be enjoyable to us all…love, ayyan

    Wow shanthi..beautiful indeed.
Its so heart warming to realise that one cherishes just the good, positive things after having gone through whatever they had to.
    It doesn't come to all...
    bye

    Ayyan,

I believe in leaving behind good memories for my LO.
sometimes, i take an extra effort to create them for them.

    I quote eliot here.

    Footfalls echo in the memory
Down the passage which we did not take
Towards the door we never opened
    ~T.S. Eliot

    deepali,

    nice to have you here.

memories are a way hanging to things you love, loved and don't want to miss.

it is even there in the taste of food that we eat. I can remember the tastes of gm and mom's cooking though both are no more.

    saras dear,

thank you. It is difficult to let go of the bad and cherish the good.

we don't need prisons to close on us, or open spaces to feel free, we do it without effort through our memories.

I am still learning to have a finger on the art..
