Re: best out of waste - my latest creations

Gurmeet, its really simple weaving technology. Just fold newspaper into strips and weave them...... try flat weaving and then fold it upwards to give sides.

    Attached is another one.

    Bookmarks from old greeting cards

    Dear friends,
Pls check out this Bookmarks made from old greeting cards...This recycle work i saw ina craft website..I liked the idea very much because when we clean the house or while shifting sometimes we are forced to throw the greetings cards given by near and dear,by reusing it in this way, anytime we open the book,we may recollect those sweetmemories :)which are hidden:hide: behind those cards.....you can see in that blue card i have preserved one of my friends sign....

Paper/Pamphlet/Notepads Holder & Bathroom Shampoo Holder

The first photograph is that of a paper holder that I made.
This is made from Kelloggs Cereal Cardboard Box.
Pasted some white sheets around the box, to increase the thickness / strength and wrapped it with a gift wrapping sheet.
Have given a small pocket for smaller papers/pads.

The second photograph is the holder I made for the bathroom - to hold shampoo bottle, washing brush etc
In this, I just used my son's wax crayons to give colour to the white sheets I pasted on the box (without using gift wrapper sheets).

Instead of throwing away the empty cardboard boxes, I thought of using them to make these holders. Saves Money. Keeps things organized.
Gives a sense of satisfaction and relaxation.

Pamphlets and Notepads wont lie scattered on tables anymore:thumbsup

Re: Paper/Pamphlet/Notepads Holder & Bathroom Shampoo Holder

Thanks Usha maam, Shanta maam and Pavithra maam. Thanks a lot for encouragement. I used to do a lot of craftwork during school days. But then, I lost interest:bonk. Thanks to IndusLadies, I have again gained interest:cheers.

Radhika maam, Both the holders have been stuck to the wall. I used double tape.I was initially worried that they may fall down because double tape may not be able to hold the weight, but to my surprise, its working:thumbsup

My husband was very happy to see these :) and he has asked for a holder for his watch and purse, since our son trys to pull it from the table daily and we keep running back and forth :spintrying to save them.
So, planning to do one soon :)
Will post the photo once I do it.

    Dear All,

Here is a remote control holder I made out of a carton box (Horlicks drink).

Now we dont have to search for the remote controls all around the house:).
