Hi I am moving to abu Dhabi in the New Year from the UK. My husbands company will be proving unfurnished 1 bedroom apartment. I wanted to know in general are the apartments quite large and spacious, with plenty of storage. Also, are teh apartments there usually in good condition? I look forawrd to hearing everyones thoughts.

Hi Sonali Welcome to AUH!! All kinds of apartments are available in Abudhabi. But its not really that easy to find one of your choice because of the hike in rents. It hasnt really come down even after the recession. You could contact the rental agents who will show you flats. A decent 1 BHK would be approx 80,000 Dhs/annum. I know people who've recently taken 2 BHK from 120,000 onwards. One doesnt have much of a choice here as rent is quite high in this place. Anyway all the best and am sure you will like the place.
