Apartment (daycare) hunt in Menlo park/Mountain view/Redwood city. Please help!

Hello folks,

I am moving to bay area with my husband and 3 year old in a few weeks.
My work is in Palo Alto and my husband will soon take up a position in Menlo park. Both of us have not been to the bay area before.

I am looking for suggestions on where to move so that we can find good daycare and also stay closer to work (ruled out fremont and other areas due to the long commute).

Redwood city, Mountain view , menlo park are in our list. I heard housing in palo alto is super super expensive. Pl add if we need to think of any other places as well for our hunt.

I would also appreciate if you can list out few apartments with good indian community concentration in Menlo park, Redwood city and Mountain view.

Can you also suggest some good day cares in around that area.

Hi Saarang, this seems like an old post, but my requirement is pretty similar to Aqua's. I'm looking for some good Indian community housing in Palo Alto area. Any recommendations?
