Anyone who did MCA from India and doing or want to pursue MS in US?

    Hi,

    I did my mca in india .Since iam on h-4 now and have to wait till next year, i want to do my MS here in the meantime .So can anyone tell me what are the courses u are exempted from since u already did them in MCA?To stay out of the H-1b cap i want to change my visa from h4 to to f1.I heard someone telling that we won't be given state's residence concession in the fee.Studying MS on h4 is cheaper or on f1?

    hey there

    doing MS on F-1 is definitely cheaper... i'm on H-4, i spoke to a university regarding a course which had 30 credits so each credit was 65$ for the in state student, but for us it would come up to almost 80-85$.. doesnt make any sense... like in india they charge higher fees for NRIs and foreign students, they are also chargin extra money for not being from their country...

    F-1 wud definitely be better...

    when you contacted them, did you ask whether we need to have TOEFL\GRE scores as well?
    which university did u contact?
