Anyone up for New Year targeting abs challenge ?

    Join me if anyone wants to lose like 5-10lbs and target those abs. Im looking for a buddy who can post soup diets and inspire each other. We can have a plan once we pool people.

    The idea is to have (as much as) toned abs for the upcoming holiday season and welcome 2015.

    Thanks for starting this thread. I am in for this challenge! I have 10 lbs to lose and working my abs and toning is my priority.

    Yay ! Magads, thanks for responding first.

    Ok we will discuss plans for targeting abs. I have some ideas from which we can pick or try randomly. Let me know yours too.

    I want to target abs everyday. I will make slight changes in my eating routine but not much. I do not want to lose more weight because the face will start looking skinny which I do not want. So for abs Im thinking any one each day depending on my mood.

    1. Cycling in gym 15 mins
    2. Rowing machine - 15 mins
    3. Standing abs - Standing Abs Exercises - 10 Minute Standing Abs Workout to Lose Belly Fat - YouTube or Home Exercises For Weight Loss - standing abs workout - YouTube or choose from youtube. I do not like to sit and do abs as I feel it is not that effective as standing (my opinion)
    4. Suryanamaskar
    5. Simple bending and touching toes - 25 -50 count
    6. Bending and touching alternate feet - 25-50 count
    7. Burpees (look for youtube video)
    8. Obliques training - any 10 minute video from youtube again.

    Im a vegetarian. I will try to include protein everyday in my diet because it is very important. I will (try to ! ) eat salads and drink more water.

    Please share/discuss some soup recipes or fancy dinner ideas.

    Hi Lonefighter,

    You need to do workout as much required for you to see the results...but start with slow count and slowly increase. Try your pattern for a week and see how you feel about it and then make changes.

    We will start with measuring our abs and see the difference at the end of the challenge.

    I am trying to take 3ltrs of water.

    i will try to do other exercises too.

    how are you doing girlie.

    so the hot mummy wants to look more hotter or what?? all the best.

    me will not be joining as i know it is futile me reducing abs..but will anyways measure at the end of the year and tell..if there has been any change with my regular regime..

    and people who are looking at flat abs..some of them maybe have to look at is with caution. diastastis rectic is a condition where the abdominal muscles the left and right have a gap. can happen with pregnancies and other conditions. in that case working out with caution is necessary.

    Hi Pman,

    I want to join you but I am leaving for my India trip on Nov 26th and will be back only on Dec 20th. I wish you had started this 1 month back [:(].
    I need to lose around 8-10 pounds to go back to my pre-pregnancy weight.
    And I seriously need to workout in my abs zone which has become very loose after pregnancy:cry:. Anyways I will continue to workout till Nov 26th.

    I did few standing exercise for abs and kapalbhati for 7 min.

    Hi Shanvy,

    Good to see your post here. Hope you are doing good.

    Here in US, every winter we pack some pounds even though we workout daily. The weather is so gloomy and cold all the time it is very demotivating. Now in the past, with the help of our dear guruji Shiva I lost all the excess weight and have been maintaining well (touchwood !) Actually no need of toning abs too because Im not that bad in shape...but just to keep myself busy and make sure that I have some commitment I have some short term goals which will make me feel happy if I achieve them. Thats it.

    Please drop by once in a while and spread your positive energy. It really helps.

    Started with one hour yoga workout yesterday and today 30mins walk.
