Hi I am 37yrs old. I have irregular periods. I used to have very regular cycles. I am having some health issues which I am dealing with it for 2+ years. So I am taking new medications for that and it's like trial and medicines to see what helps with my pain. I keep changing pills and been taking out for a while now. I have missed periods and my last cycle was in May. I went to my GP for irregular periods. She tested blood work. She didn't test much and tested only Prolactin. She said that covers the hormones test. She prescribed birth control pills (lupin) to regulate the periods. I never tried talking the birth control pills before. Anyone tried birth control pills for irregular periods and did your get your cycles back? How long did it take for your periods to start? I started my dosage 5 days ago and taking pills at the same time of the day. I noticed severe nausea this last 3 days. I am already having that chronic pain which I am struggling to deal with everyday and taking pain killers to move the day and be functional a bit. I have nausea which is very new the last 3 days. I have to ask my doctor if the birth control pills causing my nausea. Is this side effect expected and normal? Did anyone of you have this side effects with the bc pills? Did it go away one you stop the pill? I have to ask the doctor if any other medicine or any other way to induce the periods other than bc pills. Nausea makes me very sick on top of everything. Doctor didn't send me for any ultrasound or any imaging of the stomach/uterus. I don't know the reason for the sudden irregular periods though. Any thoughts please.
