    Sorry for the late response.
My d is very low. I tested my d first time in 2017& it was 11. I am taking supplements since then. Its 25 now. Still lower range.

I have severe hair fall issue for last few years. I was taking iron supplements, but my iron didn't increase where my ferritin did. So PCP told me to stop taking iron.
No sinus issues as per the CT scan. I do get nasal congestion and do steam inhalation.

I have dental issues. Not sure if that's causing inflammation markers to be high.
I have jaw pain under the ear lobe area and neck. Along with one tooth pain. It didn't start as tooth pain. I went to the dentist for jaw pain and they find this tooth issue during that visit. This tooth hurts then they tapped on it and biting on it. Nothing seen on xrays and tooth CT scan.
Still get root canal for those symptoms 2 years ago when this pain all started. No relief and same symptoms after the root canal . Seen few more Endodontist. Recent gag retreatment of root canal on that tooth hoping it will resolve. No changes. Still same symptoms on that tooth for tapping, pressing and biting. They told me to try extraction as a trial and see if it helps.

I have seen neurologist too. Taking nerve medications to see if it helps. They don't see it as neurology issue.

Don't know what's wrong and I am still trying to find out.

Thanks a lot for your response. Appreciate it.

I totally get your point. I know we all are like lab rats when it comes to trial based medications without diagnosis..
I don't know if your are in the US. If you have chronic pain without diagnosis, you are a lab rat. I hate to take medicines. But no other option. Being in constant pain for 2 years now.

My main pain is in the lower jaw and neck. And one tooth pain. Had imaging and nothing found.
I have been told the same so far. I might be grinding and clenching at night. Dentist didn't give me any guard and sent me to TMJ specialist. He quoted $5k for his mouth guards which is out of insurance. So didn't go to them for the guards.
Another dentist gave me a small guard which fits only on front upper teeth and it didn't help. It made my pain worse and they told me to stop using it. Have tried 2 of those types and it hurts even more after a night of use.

Planning to see a new dentist to try a full arch mouth guard. Have been told to see a chiropractor too.
I have a tooth pain which hurts since this jaw pain started. Nothing found on it yet. Had few dental procedures on it. No relief. Other option is to pull that tooth and see. They say that also an trial option. So tired and frustrated with these trial options.

@gknew Sorry to know about these issues you facing.
Yes I have RA first after 15 years also got Ulcerative colitis. Both auto immune diseases. I noticed some foods don't suit me, symptoms would be high for few days when I eat them. So eating Satvic food(it is mostly anti-inflammatory, but each body reacts differently to different food, so you have to check what is causing more symptoms)

There is another way, some people look at it. All these issues come because of "Leaky gut". That is why I shared the video series with you. Please understand this concept of leaky gut well to know how to take care of your self.
In the same concept, importance of probiotics. Natural ones are there like yogurt, dosa and idli etc.
But for IBS issues, supplement is recommended by doctors also. If you have any digestive issues probiotics or this below book helps.

I read this book which is small and straight forward, simple remedies given, following some of them helped me.

    @gknew,

Metformin - Wikipedia. The above link gives you what Metformin is prescribed for. I am a regular user of Metformin for the past 5 years even though I am not diabetic. In the US, even a slightest increase in blood sugar level would be considered as a risk and the doctor's begin prescribing this automatically especially those who have obesity issue.

I printed an article and read it on a plane when I went to India in 2019. It said all about the medication prescribed for diabetic patients and how a major population of the world are considered in the borderline exposing the healthcare payers and providers to a higher cost in the future. However, prescribing regular diabetic medicine can have drastic impact on those who are in the borderline including steep drop of blood sugar level and when Metformin was introduced, it was a blessings to the risk faced by healthcare payers and providers because it didn't create any major reactions to the patients at the same time reduced future major exposure to expenditure. Therefore, it became most prescribed medicine.

Luckily, I don't have any reaction to Metformin so far.

My dentist charges $500 for a custom mouth guard, so it shouldn’t cost in the thousands. My insurance won’t cover the cost. Before I got that I was using a generic mouth guard I bought on Amazon. It was functional.

Are you taking any prescription Vit D. Include, cod liver oil or fish oil tablets. That helped me. Note that you need vit D well above 50 to prevent any auto immune issues. For iron, you can try slow release iron or iron rich foods. Both these deficiencies cause hair loss.
You can go for second opinion for dental issues. Please note that mercury based dental fixes can create reaction too. Now a days, gluten is cited as a reason for elevating leaky gut symptoms.

Hope you find a solution soon

No Malstrom. I don't know if you know about TMJ specialist dentist. Their guards are called as splint and it costs around $5 to $6k. And it's not guaranteed if they will work and that's the reason none of the tmj specialist dentist are in network with insurance. They are out of network totally.
I should try a normal full arch mouth guard. My dentist is not ready to give me one considering my pain and history. He just pushing me off to TMJ specialist dentist office. I will see a new dentist and get one full arch guard.

I have tried many guards off Amazon and it didn't hope me. I tried hit mold ones and the ones just fits the teeth. Pain just increases with those. I will keep trying to see something if it helps.

I was taking 50000iu d supplements once a week. It doesn't increase my value and it was still 25. So my rheumatologist put me on active form of D now. It's calcitriol 0.5 once a day. She said it's active form of D and it should help me increase the D value.
My iron is low but ferritin was high. So they told me to stop taking it. I am also trying taking vitamin K with D. Read that K Increases the absorption.
I will try fish oil tablets. Haven't tried yet.

    Thank you.
My recent hba1c value was 5.9%. it was 5.4 the previous year. I have also gained weight in the last year.
My PCP is not ok with taking metformin for weight gain from medicines. But rhuematologist said I can try to stabilize the weight. Everyone have their own Philosophies.
She told me to watch weight and diet for a month and she will prescribe next month if necessary.
