    Hi
Not posting here for a medical advice. I do see my physician for this. Just wanted to know personal experiences.
I am experiencing severe bloating and tummy looks like 9 months pregnant. I am having these symptoms for more than a month. I did see my primary physician and she gave me pantaprazole medicine to take everyday. I am taking it for last 3 weeks and no changes in the symptoms.
My doctor also did some lab and stool tests. All came out negative except celiac panel weak positive. He suspect it could be an ulcer. Didn't refer me to gastro as he wanted me to try the medicine first for a long time.

My tummy is very big and huge. I took a picture today and it looks very big than usual. Always popping out even if my tummy is empty.

I also have a cyst 5.5cm.paratubal which was found 7 months ago. After noticing these symptoms I went immediately to the gynecologist. She did repeat the ultrasound and cyst is still the same size. So she was very confident that cyst is not the reason for the bloating and my symptoms. She told me to see my primary physician to evaluate further.
Then I came to physician and got the blood and stool test done.

Does anyone ever experienced bloating before? Did you have ulcer which showed up bloating like this big?
    Attaching pictures in the comment.

I have this around the time of my period but I have multiple large fibroids, adenomyosis and am also in perimenopause so the hormones are fluctuating. This can also happen in case of endometriosis (endo belly).

Thanks for the response. I did have a vaginal ultrasound recently to recheck my cyst. The scan showed everything normal except the cyst finding.
I just had my periods last week and this bloating just got worse since last week. I also have missed the periods last month as I have irregular periods on and off because of the cyst.
But these symptoms started more than a month ago. So not very sure about the reason.
I saw my PCP to review the lab results today. He said I have celiac as it came out as weak positive. He said to try gluten free diet.
0-3 is negative and mine is 4.

    my results are:

Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA - 4 (weak positive.)
    negative range -0 to 3.
Weak positive: A result of 4.0–10.0
    Positive >10
    Endomysial Antibody IgA- negative
Immunoglobulin A, Qn, Serum- 295 ( normal range is 87-382)

I never tested for celiac panel before , so never knew I have gluten thing going on. I don't know If I need to get another opinion with gastro doctor about this as it's weak positive.

Bloating is basically gut related. Have you explored it( my friend had similar issue finally found H. Pylori issue ) . Bowel movement issues can also lead to the above issues. Have you checked liver function? I read that it can affect tummy size. Also, I have noticed changes in tummy size based on our monthly cycle.

Have you tried gluten free diet to see if that help bloating? Celiac can lead to leaky gut and autoimmune issues in future. Pl explore, hope you feel better

Yes I have been tested for h.pylori and came out negative.
Been tested for several labs and stool tests. All came out negative except this weak positive celiac. I just saw my PCP today to review the results. She said I have celiac and have to do gluten free diet.

I never explored gluten free diet. So I am starting to read about it and will try. Never had celiac before or heard about it too.

I have to see a gastro doctor for my relief of mind. Because my PCP said I can try medicine (pantaprazole) and GF diet for one or 2 months and see the GI doctor later.

But I am very confused with all these symptoms. It's still the same symptoms and no changes. I have severe bloating, feeling full/heavier, tummy looks like 9 months pregnant and also feel something stuck in throat. So I am planning to see a gastro doctor to see what they say.

I tested liver function and normal except Mild fatty liver changes.
I don't know about celiac as I have just heard the word from the doctor. I don't know what's leaky gut. I do have inflammation issues which is going on for 4 years now. Without any diagnosis. I take anti inflammatory medicine for that.
My doctor said during my first visit that I might have ulcer because of long term use of Nsaids. Today he said I have celiac. So it's just confusing as symptoms just overlap.

I don't know if I really have celiac as my results shows weak positive for one of those values in that panel.

I am not sure whether I posted this here in this forum or somewhere else. But I feel it is relevant here; hence posting (may be repeating). Not to scare you OP, but to prepare you to face any challenges in the future.

My aunt at the age of 50 had similar experience. Unexplained bloating. She didn't even know whether it was bloating or fat or something else in her tummy at that time. But the only symptom was a large tummy, out of proportion to her body.
It was sudden, I mean it appeared within a month or so. She never had this huge belly before.
Again not to scare you. Because my mom is having this large belly, and it appeared in the past few years and she feels always bloated. She has been on pantoprazole for a while now. She is a thyroid patient, and has osteoarthritis and several other chronic illness for her age related. So, she takes a lot of pills on a daily basis. The dr's believe all her gastrointestinal problems may be age and indigestion related.

I have bloating on and off. When it is there, my tummy would look bigger. Hard to wear tight clothes, but then it disappear with time. It is hormonal and stress related. But, on and off I did have upper belly pain and discomfort too. I did try stool test for H pylori, and it came out negative. Since the symptoms continued, my doctor prescribed medicines for H pylori. He said the test results are unpredictable for most people, but they treat based on symptoms.

So, coming back to my aunt, one day she had difficulty in eating. Felt her food stopped digesting, and was constipated for a couple of days at a stretch.
Then she started having severe vomiting. As usual, all the first line treatment went in for gastrointestinal problems until she fainted and the doctor chose to go for a full body check up.

That's when they discovered her ovarian cyst (not too large) was pressing her large intestine to a point where it completely stopped functioning. Therefore they had to operate her to remove the cyst. They were unsure whether her intestines could ever function as before, and it took some times to fully recover from both surgeries (ovaries and intestines).

    She is perfectly fine now.

The point is, the cyst may be small. But the location and the harm it could do to the other organs is important. Drs should pay more attention in this matter.

Also, H pylori tests may come negative, but it still be the reason for the problem.

Bloating can be age related too. Specially if you are in peri menopausal times.

May be you can opt for yoga to relieve excess gas and bring back the shape
