Dear Vaidehi,
You will do fine in Gaithersburg, MD. There is a large South Indian Community and they have Veda Class, monthly bajanai etc. There are good schools, great shopping-many Indian grocery stores [Patel Brothers] and restaurants [Bombay Bistro].
My close friends Lakshmi Natarajan, Mira Chandramouli etc, live in that area and are very helpful. Their numbers are listed in the MD telephone directory.

Hello Megha, Sangeesai,

I am looking for apartments in Ellicott city, MD as my husband recently started working there. I came across Howard crossing and found it fitting in my budget. But Howard's reviews are making me panic. The online review says
We have lot of security problems here
You dont feel secure
Unknown people around who dont live in the apt buildings are seen
had couple of shootings.

I then started to look for Indians in ellicott city. Found indus ladies link in google search. I was happy to see some of our ladies in that area. I am looking for a friendly Indian community. Can u please give me a feedback of ur experiences with this community?
