I am planning to do TOEFL as it's a requisite for doing MS in San Jose univ. Looking for something(tips/links etc...) that helps me start out, from people who have already done it or better still, if someone intends to do it now, we can study together...
I am in Cupertino, so any1 in this area, pls respond.
    Thanks,
    Rina

I took the TOEFL exam but that was quite long ago. I didn't do a lot except buy a Barron's guide to TOEFL. I studied all the material in the book and did the practice tests that came on the accompanying CD. That was enough to do well on the test.

    Thanks Vasu for your reply.
Another questions that i had is I am not sure which TOEFL to go. Seems there are 3 : PBT, CBT & IBT. The university that i am aiming for (San Jose Univ) has the following cutoff:
    PBT (paper based) - 550
    CBT (computer based) - 213
    IBT (Internet based) - 80

If anyone can give some advice/guidance on which one is easier to achieve, i will highly appreciate.
    Many Thanks!

The CBT has been discontinued, right? The IBT is the standard test now. Most universities ask for IBT scores. In terms of ease of scoring, I can't say, but I guess the IBT will be easier because they have a speaking section. Less writing and reading comprehension questions than the PBT.

Thanks again Vasu. I have got the book and am going through it. I am looking at IBT only.
    Hi Sharmilay,
One of my friend was telling about online course from Kaplan university. You can check it out if it meets your expectation.
    Thanks,
    Rina
