Any immunity building tips?

    Hi,

    How is everyone doing?
    Things are pretty quiet here. I have been grappling with a viral fever which seems to come with every change in season.
    It is pretty weakening , but things are on the mend now. So all is well .

    Any tips for building up immunity against it ?

    Hi Ennaye,
    Taking a multivitamin daily, does help to build our immune system. So we take one everyday and it helps us to keep ourselves stronger during seasonal changes. I also make sure to give everyone Omega 3-6-9.

    We as humans are blessed with 3 types of immunity–

    Natural- skin is our first line of defense and offers general protection
    Adaptive - develop either by getting exposed to diseases and through vaccinations
    Passive – is borrowed immunity, just like how a baby gets protected in its early years due to mother’s breast milk.

    Hi,
    Tulsi leaves are the best and a natural medicine. Soak 2 leaves in drinking water at night. The next morning before milk, first drink this water and eat the leaves. In long term, the strength given by tulsi can never be beated by any other medicine or drink.

    Multivitamins will not suit everybody --- side-effects like constipation, kidney stones or blood thinning / thickening etc. are becoming common now. Better to do regular pranayama or any breathing practice which will dramatically improve lung strength. Any regular physical exercise or yoga also has tremendous benefits. Processed food destroys our 'prana' -- avoiding that also helps. :my2cents
