ANTI AGING FOODS......the nature provides.

    Hello Ladies

    In my previous thread " FOODS that cause AGING" a list of food items to be avoided were given.

    In this thread we will see the list of food items which should be added in our diet to help the cells in regeneration. Foods which help in cell regeneration or anti-aging are -

    Fruits like avocado, berries, watermelon, guava, gooseberries, figs etc.

    Sprouts, sprouted beans

    Green leafy vegetables

    Foods with Omega 3 fatty acids such as sardines, salmon, flaxseed oil, soyabean and soyabean oil, pumpkin seeds, walnuts etc.

    Foods with Omega 4 and 5 fatty acids

    Olive oil

    Wheatgrass juice

    Foods rich with antioxidants berries, broccoli, tomatoes, red grapes, garlic, spinach, soy, whole grains, parsley, cabbage etc.

    Lentils

    Brown rice soaked overnight becomes alkaline.

    Yogurt

    Cottage cheese

    Ginger

    Walnuts, almonds,

    Whole meal pasta and rice

    Green tea

    Carrots

    Honey etc.

    The best form to take the fruits and vegetables is raw, steamed is better than boiled, boiled is better than cooked in oil, or deep fried.

    Drink plenty of water to get rid of toxins and unwanted waste from the body.

    Stick to your exercise regime. Eat wisely and stay healthy.

    Wheatgrass is available in most departmental stores. Wheatgrass(common wheat) seeds are also available easily, which can be grown at home. You will need to know the instructions to grow them at home.

    Thank you so much for the prompt reply. I wll look for wheatgrass in our supermarket. Maybe even try to grow it myself since summer is fast approaching in our side of the world.

    I have heard of the existance juice of the leaves of wheat.
    This juice is considered very nutricious and very good for the body. I guess anti-aging might have been one of the goodness that people mentioned!
