    I will try those chutneys which r easy too.
    But I have a small doubt that for some pickles u used vinegar.Does the pickle get the vinegar smell?

    Yes Dear Mythili,

    You surely feel the vinegar smell. But in my recipes I wont use vinegar at all. without vinegar I use to make pickles and keep them for many months and more than a year. You try and you give your feed back.

    Hi everybody,
    i learnt a variety muruku recipe from my aunt.
    It is very simple and tasty.

    Muruku Recipe
    ----------------------
    Rice Flour-3 cups
    Roasted Chana Dal(Putnala Pappulu,dalia,bhuna chana) flour-1 cup
    Black pepper powder-as per taste
    Salt-as per taste
    Oil

    Process
    -------------
    Make dough with rice flour,roasted chana dal flour,salt,black pepper powder,a tablespoon of hot oil or butter for taste with sufficient water.
    Use muruku maker to make muruku.
    Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the muruku,these muruku taste very good.

    Hope everybody will love these murukus in your home,try them.

    Hi friends,
    can anyone tell me how to make romali roti at home as thin and soft as they do in hotels. i searched the thread to get this recipe and did nt find out. so i am posting this question here. I tried at home but it did not come out as soft to fold it like a kerchief....

    hi ami,

    i guess u asked for cabbage pachadi..
    recipe:
    cabbage finely chopped 2cups
    greenchillies --6(according to spice)
    jeera
    hing or garlic pod
    coriander leaves
    curry leaves if available.

    just add 1 teaspoon of oil to pan then add cabbage ,slit green chillies cover with lid and cook .after 5 min add salt .after cabbage completely cooks take another pan for popu(tadka or seasoning) add oil 2 spoons add channadal ,urad, turmeric ,hing.
    add coriander leaves,jeera while mixing in grinder add everything and make coarse paste.

    my familys favourite chutney ,after brinjal chutney.


    there is always options in ingradients:
    u can add little tamarind if u want
    or u can add cooked tomato as well


    if u want garlic add raw garlic and jeera while grinding.


    we andhra people dont feel like eating without chutneys,specially my family.

    reciepe for greenchillies chutney:

    Ingredients:

    Green chilles
    garlic
    tamarind
    jaggery
    oil
    salt to taste

    method:saute green chilles in few spoons of oil in a pan..now remove chilles and keep it cool . grind it with garlic,tamarind ,salt and jaggery.If u want add seasoining to it ..we won't put seasoning..

    MINT AND COCONUT CHUTNEY (PUDINA KOBBARI PACHADI )


    Ingredints:-

    Fresh Mint Leaves – 1 bunch
    ½ cup grated fresh coconut
    5 green chillies

    1 small onion
    1 small clove Garlic (optional)
    1 small piece Tamarind

    1 tbsp Urad Dal (black gram dal)
    Pinch of Asafoetida
    Salt to taste


    Method:-

    <!--[endif]-->In a pan, roast the washed mint leaves and the green chillies with ½ tsp oil. Roast until the leaves wilt and are slightly brown. A nice aroma will emanate. Turn off the stove. Add the tamarind piece and garlic to this and keep aside. Combine all the roasted ingredients (Mint leaves, green chilies), the fresh coconut, salt, turmeric ,tamarind, onion,garlic and about ½ cup of water and grind to a smooth paste. In a small pan, roast the urad dal with a drop of oil on low heat until light brown. Season with mustard seeds, urad dal, dry red chillies and curry leaves, Asafoetida.
    Serve with hot rice.

    hi to all,
    my friend prepares very tasty dal(using thurdal) i tried this many times,but didn't get the same taste,anyone plz give me the recipe....according to my knowledge,this is what she added....thurdal,tamarind paste,onion,garlic for seasoning,chillipowder,salt....thatz all...
