An xl apron and a baker's dozen !

After the gusty Nilam ,here's a downpour ,
a pot pourri of ideas,woven in tales of lore,
My Mom is an early bird and so am I now ,
and I shall give you some tips as I knead the dough.

Sprinkle hot water over the flour and keep it aside ,
"knead it to a soft dough for rotis soft ,"said a guide .
"keep a pot of boiling water ready on your table top ,
Soak,steam ,boil and blanch ,as the toaster goes pop ."

"Its easy to work ,"said a chef if the planning is right ,
"Butlering is no great deal ,all you need is a lil foresight."
"A lil prudence and a lil judgement to bring out the best,
coz ! life in an oven is a homework and a daily test ."

"All you need is a ladle and a few few tricks up your sleeve,
"Oh ! No ! That's not my cup of tea and I wish to take leave."
I said, from an area that is not exactly as per my taste ,
" No my dear," said she ,the curry is ready,Do not bake in haste."

"It's simple,enter the kitchen with a prayer and a smile,
Accept the day with a pinch of salt and brew awhile ,
A warm oven can be a melting pot of ideas old and new,
a self taught experience can also bring out the best in you ."

I watched in awe, as she went about the chores ,
she multitasked and also checked the stores ,
as the cooking was in progress,she cared to refill ,
empty containers and then she also checked the bill.

"There is great satisfaction,a sense of fulfilment my dear,
when you cater to the diet needs of the close and near ,
The way to a heart is through the stomach she said,"Carry On !
My girl ! Sport a Chef Cap and a larger than life size Apron ".....
