An upset always upsets

    Dear Sweety Yami,

    Another very nice and useful snippet.

    I do get upset when hurt by people around. But I never loose temper and spread my bad mood across. I get quiet and calm... I know there is no point talking to the person who hurt me in his/her bad mood as s/he will not be receptive what i say and i also may not be able to express the point across. But that I keep things in myself, I suffer.

    Sometimes, music or a stroll outside or a book or a tv show help, sometimes not. I have to patiently wait for it to leave me.... Thanks God, time is a great healer :)

    What I learnt is we get upset when our expectations are not fulfilled and we can not accept that. Expectation is not a bad thing in any way... that is the positive way in life.

    What we need to learn, is to accept what we get in the journey of life, be it what we want or what we do not....

    I also try to count on my blessings at such moments, which helps sometimes.

    that was a wonderful feedback dear!

    you say things like hearing music seeing tv and etc etc doesn't work at times!
    don't do such things just to get rid of the upset!
    you may have a taste!
    for eg i get down from my tensed mind if i hear ilayaraja music!
    think if i do the same thing thinking of my problem itself!
    nothing would work then! so problem is not with the music but with me!
    do the thing which makes you or keeps you cool at that situaton!
    throw all the memories and just your concentration should be only on the entertainment or some other thing which helps you to rid of it!
    sure you will find difference sure if not ask me! :hide:

    I do that... try to keep my mind away from what is bothering me!

    A nice write up to make all take the positive way to overcome our mood.
    Every day may not be good, but there’s something good in every day.If a mood swing threatens to disrupt your day, focus on something else. If you can only think about the bad mood you are experiencing, you're likely to stay in that mood for an extended period of time. Instead, watch a movie, read a book or spend time with someone who can help you think about something else.
