Almond in baby's diet

    Hi friends,

    How to include almond in my 10 1/2 month old baby's diet.Or can we give at this age?? :hide:please do share some ideas.

    Prana, I will wait till the baby turns 1 year (2 years if there are histories of allergies in the family) till I introduce nuts of any sort. Actually, for DS, we started almonds only recently at well past 3 years because he has rather a lot of food allergies.

    I agree with Tikka. Go slow on dry fruits, in fact it is not needed this early. Yes to rule out all allergies and to avoid the fat which dry fruits provide better to avoid them and start after three years when LO develops a taste and asks you for it :)
    The soft dryfruits like raisins, dates and apricots can be given. Rich dry fruits like almond and cashewnuts can be postponed till one or two years. While I believe that the LO should get a taste of everything, it not needed to give LO dryfruits on a day to day basis. It should be last on the food list.
