Alas..Reached my goal!!!- Tips & success story

    Hi,

    For those who asked my diet plan:

    From 83-59!!!

    I was 83kgs in dec 2013 because of pregnancy. I came down to 78kgs in feb,2014. Everybody advised that pregnancy weight will go off by itself naturally and even doctors stopped me from dieting or exercising during Feeding and also i had low back pain(due to slight disc slip). So I waited till June End (thats when i joined office back). My weight was 74 in June end. Even after one month of normal food intake, my weight remained the same in july end.
    I heard many criticisms on how I look fat and how i ignored my looks after pregnancy.
    So my mom was the one who asked me to consult a dietitian. She challenged me that i should look good before my son's birthday which was 4 months away.
    I consulted a dietitian (Dharini Krishnan) in mylapore.
    This is my prescribed diet
    BreakFast: 2 idly/2 dosa/2 chapathi - but i usually have sathu maavu kanji for breakfast
    Lunch: 1 small cup of rice(6-7 tsps), 2 veggies , dhall/sambhar
    Non veg: 2 eggs per week, chicken twice a week, no mutton, fish twice a week ( no fried chicken/fish - only gravy or air-fried)
    Snacks: Sundal (Channa/Rajma/Yellow Peas)
    Dinner: 2-3 Dosa/3 Idly/3 chappathi + any less oil gravy
    1 fruit and milk

    To Be Avoided:
    All fried items, cool drinks, sweets


    No limit food(When you are hungry):
    Puffed Rice(Arisi pori) : I used to make bhel puri with tomato and onion during initial weeks when i was hungry
    Tender Coconut, Aval(Poha),Green tea,Raw Fruits, Vegetables


    No Cheat Day: But once a while cheat item is allowed ( but in limited portions - Eg: 1 or 2 pieces of fried chicken )


    Since i was still [COLOR=#009900 !important]feeding my baby[/COLOR], my diet wasn't very restricted. I was told that i will loose atleast 1.5 kgs if i followed the diet fully.
    But i reduced 3 kgs in the first month, then gradually 0.5-0.75 Kgs per week. Now I am 59kgs.


    Self-Control is very important. Even now i am being told by my relatives that i Look good and i can start eating normally but i avoid softly.


    Also, I record calories in MyFitnessPal.

    I started gym in the last cycle of my weight loss, to tighten all the loose muscles. 1hr per day ( 5days a week) and i am still following that.

    Good job dear..... So you reached your target......

    srictly following is very difficult , i did for 1.5 months than back to normal . No diet no exercise. Should motivate myself more.

    cardio for 30 min (includes walking high speed,cycling, elliptical trainer)

    and core exercises for me coz i had back pain for 15 min
    and abs/upperbody/lower body exercises on alternate days

    If gyming is not possible - go for high speed walking for 40 min everyday plus surya-namaskar in the morning.

    Your post inspires me a lot... Got encouraged and want to shed the excess pounds... Now I am 64.7 Kgs... My dream weight is 50 Kgs.... Lets hope for the best...
