Ah, Those Seven Steps!!!!

The Seven Steps were meant to be rules. It was another thing that hardly anyone followed in toto. I doubt if the bride and bridegroom took notice of them or understood them. The only understanding is role-playing to the best of honesty and capabilities.
Nevertheless, there have been perfect marriages with or without the 7 steps.

 

We have to revist Manusmiriti. Maybe we knew counting up to 7 only. We improved and invented Zero. That was the beginning of the whole problem. I am saying 'we' because we have taken so many rebirths since then. The wheel was there from the very beginning.
