I am pregnant with my second baby. I am still breastfeeding my first one as doctor said it is ok to do so even after delivery.but I am trying to wean him off slowly. I heard that digestion takes a minimum of 6-10 hours to take place and only then the nutrients mix with the blood and reach the foetus. Is this true? Do till then the baby needs to starve? Another question is that my baby breast feeds at night so when the digestion happens if my baby is breast feeding at that time, will he take off all the nutrients through the milk and will the baby be left with nothing? Please help me. I am ignorant about this so I need ur help in clearing my doubts.

digestion completely by 3-4 hrs after food but food stats dissolving in the blood as soon as it enters intestine, hence say like 1- 1 1/2 hour blood with rich nutrients reach foetus. Till then live takes care of his needs
