It's definitely a useful gadget to have. If I did not have regular pressure cookers of varying sizes taking up space in my cabinets already, I would totally have bought a second one this thxgiving. But lack of storage space is what prevented me from buying it. And of course, sentimental reasons prevent me from discarding my good old regular pressure cookers!
Yes. Because my amma gave me those pressure cookers and I bought them with so much love on my India trips etc. etc :-s For some reason though, when I am cooking on Festival Days, it somehow feels like I have to use the pressure cooker! I don't know... just the sound of the whistle along with music playing in my kitchen sets the mood for celebration, which I don't get from the Instant Pot!!
Me three, I'm yet to explore IP, but i don't think i will ever throw away any of my 4 pressure cooker https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FLYWNYQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I bought this one
!! I really thought this was that thread.. till I saw the title. : ) ======= I am yet to perfect my recipes, and already technology has overtaken the kitchen, or taken over! bluetooth for rice cooker? is it correct what I am reading! @peartree I too have many pressure cookers for sentimental reasons. Not only do they take up space, but I don't store the lids correctly sometimes. I know the lids like the back of my hand, but DH uses wrong lid, and realizes only when it starts to leak too much steam..... : ) And that makes him steam too. LOL.
Sigh ..I have another nightmare..vitamix ...the zillion blenders /indian mixies I have which I cannot get rid of after Vitamix made itself a permanent fixture on my counter.
