    Dear ladies,

Our DS is 8 months now, and he is 7kg,
I just worry his weight s not increasing much.
He is on formula/BF and he eats Apple/pear puree 1 time, raagi ganji 1 time. And he s refusing to eat cerelac nowadaya.
And i tried to introduce him banana but he s refusing that also.

Pls suggest how to give him banana, and Is his weight normal?

    Thanks in advance.

Ajuma, your baby's weight is in the range of normal. I am not sure how much of it is true in your case - given that I dont know the nature of what your child's health is like now. But what happened with my DS was that he had reflux since almost birth and did very poorly on solids. He was on the 5 percentile - which is what your child is also on, I think - till he was around 18 months. After his reflux and allergies were controlled, he gained weight well. Moral of the story is that some children do not gain well when they are unwell and once their chronic health condition is taken care of they do better. If your paed is happy with your son's weight gain then try not to watch the chart.
I did not give bananas till DS was around 9 months and after that I blitzed it in the blender and diluted the rest with some expressed. breast milk and gave him. HTH
