    ur kalamkari patch work on saree is simply superb... the embellishments are too pretty.... can u please tell me how u handled the rough edges of the patches ...did u paste it first on the saree did taka on patches and did buttonhole stitches all around...pl enlighten me. coz I do have bought such a patch and confused about the attaching work.

    Hi vijji,
    which kind of patches u bought allready cutted neatly ready to attach or u have to cut them.i bought the patches and cut them according to her shape.I first marked the places on the saree where i should attach them.I kept some fabric glue in the middle(only in the middle,a very little portion),so that it does not move.i did takas at the end.or else u can give them to tailor,he will do it for u,i saw tailor attaching for some girl.once attachment is done u can start ur work to increase its beauty by doing the mirror work and other embriodery material.

    saree is pure pattu,it cost rs1200.or else u can use half pattu or malayi pattu it cost around 300-500 depending upon the quality

    It took 3-4 months to complete the work.I used to do it for 1hr or some times 4-5hrs with out moving.after completing the saree i can know how much patience i have.:bonk
