    Dear ladies,

    I am going to meet the ART specialist on monday. My husband has normal count with motility issues. We tried Ayurvedic + Allopathic medicines for a couple of months. There is some improvement on his part but the fully active ones are very low. So thought would consult the doc.

    I am very tensed about consulting the Specialist. But trying to overcome it. I have no choice but go through this ordeal.

    First you should be relaxed, not only you but your husband too. Stress and tension are the first and biggest enemies.

    Thank you, Ganthimathi, for your reply.

    I came out of the doctor's room in a state of shock. He told me that my ovary which was operated was not probably functioning (the other ovary was). And that's why I am not conceiving. And that I was infertile. He advised for AMH test to see my ovarian reserve to plan treatment.

    It was news to me because the surgeon who operated my ovary had told me that it will start functioning slowly. And gynaec and urologists treated my husband's low motility issues without paying attention to this side of the story. We would not have taken medicines and waited so far if we knew such a thing would have happened. Doctors are very unreliable, as I see it now!

    I am quite upset although I am happy that at least I will not have to stress about the uncertainty anymore.

    sorry to hear this... but as u said its good that uve known the exact problem now u can start with ur treatment soon..lot of baby dust to u dear!!!

    Dear Raisin....A big hug to you...!!! So sorry that you have to go through all this, however on a positive note, now that you know the root cause you can act on it, atleast you are not in the dark...!!!

    Also, please always take a second opinion and do not rely on one single doc entirely(if you are not familiar and are new to the doc), my 2 cents...!!! Have faith in the Almighty, what has to happen will happen no matter what so relax and if possible take a second opinion...!!!

    You are in our prayers..!!! GL and loads of baby dust to you...!!!

    Dont be depressed raisin! I am sure there is still hope...As Jogu said, go for a 2nd opinion, possibly a doc who is well-known for encouraging his patients rather than discouraging!
    Try positive thinking techniques...say "both my ovaries are healthy and are going to give me a lovely baby soon" every night while going to sleep.
    Training the subconscious mind works wonders:exactly:

    Dear raisin,

    Have positive thoughts and hope like Mimosa said.

    I was told that IVF was the only option for me and conceived naturally.
    God does do miracles, only if you let HIM.

    Be patient. Be positive and be relaxed. plan a vacation and not think of other things.
    It will all fall into place.

    You are in my prayers and all will be fine.

    Congrats SM...! We are kind of looking into ICSI now after 6 failed iuis and Male factor issues...

    Have you shared your success story in the forum somehwere...looking for inspiration
