VERY hot! I am wandering around in just shorts and an undershirt. Its bloody hot, and I need a few days before I can get accustomed to roam around.

You should start a 'Spidey's Madras travelogue' thread with up to the minute updates on brekkie, lunch and dinner menus.

I know, I have been there once or twice in May and I literally died not being used to that much heat. My uncle & aunt lived close to the beach but even that did not help much.

Turkey sandwich, Brown rice, Pumpkin sambar and SP's home-made blah blahs.. I didn't even cook for myself yaar!!!! :spinDS opted for ravioli. So not even white rice.

ooohhh I like Bombay dyeing Calendars & Garden Sarees. It has been ages since I bought one though.. My mom has a great collection. Last time I went to India, the guy at the shop asked me too many questions like what type of saree? what color? what design? what material? etc and I had no clue.. I am so used to NOT being asked this many questions and just go and pick whatever I like, but the shopping model in that store is like in old times.. I have to tell what I want (like I know what it is that I want! :bonk) and he will show me, then I should pick (or give him reasons why I don't like!!! :hide: ) . I got fed up with that guy and told DH, "Let us go home". :drowning

OK.. I am turning hungry.. shall see if I can find some 'ready munchables' in my pantry.

Mithy, feel free to go on with :bonkthat kid FL described.

Love puranpolis...I have some in my freezer. I have to have it tonight.

Mals..the beauty of sarees , they all come in yards. So tall or short everyone can wear them. For a tall woman 61/2 yards are good.

Raviolis are good. I am into italian food like crazy...
