A Thank you & Miss you Note

It’s exactly two years with today that I left you….

From the moment I thought of leaving you till the day I really left you it was not as easy as said….

The day I conveyed mom that I’m contemplating to be away from you … she was happy… you know very well from day one she was not in favour of you….so she was happy after hearing this.

It is not that she does n’t like you, but her maternal instincts does not willingly allows me to be with you…

But my sister didn’t want this to happen, she subtly advised not to take any decision in haste….

But I have my own reasons to leave you…

My friends thought it was the most sensible decision I have ever taken in my life
They are also like mom, they don’t hate you .. but they thought I don’t have enough capability / maturity to be with you or to deal with you.

Who knows how I have felt at the thought of leaving you………LLL

In these two years, not a single day passed without missing you / thinking about you….

Mom often asks me, what’s so special to miss so much and you live still in those memories of past………

In a very subtle manner, she says I would be better-of if I keep aside the thoughts of you, from my mind and heart…….

Really what is there so special about that I miss you all the time………..

You are not my family / relative
You are not my childhood friend
Nor a college buddy….

Then what about you that made you so special for me…

It is not that what you are made you special but It is what I was when I was with you made you special….:thumbsup

You made me Rediscover myself…
You gave courage & confidence in the most important phase of my life…

You never pushed me to next step.. but you being next to me, made it possible to push myself to the next level

You gave me freedom, you gave me independence…
You made me accountable and responsible for the happenings in my life…:yes:

You made me realistic and a bit more practical…

You never gave me hand to lift my spirits, in turn you taught me get hold of my way when it is going off the road…

You brought me peace
You made my life contented
You brought taste to my life…

You made me calmer
You made me sensible..:exactly:

You never boasted of all this that you did to me, nor expected an acknowledgment from me….

When I have decided to leave you, even then you left it to my choice
Not even once you have forced me to reconsider my decision…

Even now after two long years, you are all ready to welcome me with open arms (though I did n’t bothered to visit you once in these two years)

Though I miss you to the core, I’m only dilly dallying to reach you … you are not complaining even now.

The saddest part is………….

Though I come back I can’t guarantee you the togetherness for life time..
I may have to move on again soon……….

But remember……………….
Though I may not be with you, you always have a special place in my heart.
Your memories are my prized possessions.
And where I go & whomever I am with , you will always remain special and close to my heart…

Dear Pallavi,

For those who are with her, she means a lot and those who see her from outside, she is hard to digest. I lived in Mumbai from 1992 to 1995 until I migrated to the US. When someone asked me to Mumbai, I was scared and my family was in the state of shock. After we moved, we learned a lot of how enjoyable Mumbai life is. We felt bad when we left in 1995. I love that wonderful city.

Nice post Pallavi. Enjoyed reading it.
There are a few places where you feel at home, though you are new there.
I had been to Mumbai for only a week and enjoyed seeing a few places.
Though I may not have enough of an experience there to say I miss it, I can understand the feel. -rgs

the best thing i like(d) about her is, one of the few places in the world u get 24 x 7 good/cheap foods.
