A story from my five year old son - comic style.

This Morning I was busy as usual.

My son came to me and said he was very bored.

"Yeah talk to me..."

"that will be even boring"

"oh really? then go and play with your toys" i said.

"Can I watch TV?"

This has become like a mantra for both my kids these days. I am so strict(??)on that account.

" No dear no TV in the morning."

" But today is holiday for me what shall I do?"

"Do something useful like drawing or why don't you practice reading"

"That's boring too" he said and I rolled my eyes, at this age I didn't even know the meaning of the word boring.

"what do you want me to do? I have to do lot of chores and then go do my writing.You Tell me what you want to do, except for TV, wii, PSP." I said with a sigh.

"You alone write and write and put in the internet. When will I do it?"

"Why not now? Try writing something and I will post it for you in the internet."

"Really?" he asked widening his saucer eyes even bigger.

"Yes, really. why not?"I said smiling at him.

"Then will they say nice things about my story too?"

"What? You are going to write a story?"(இப்பவே போட்டியா?)

"Yes.I am.."he said and ran inside to get papers and pencil.

I asked him what story he was going to write. he said "Ben10."

"No dear..No copying. You have to write from your own imagination"

"But how?"

"Try.." i said and went inside the kitchen. He came back and said "Ok..I will write.Will you help me with the spellings?"

"I will try"

He then went to a corner and wrote something seriously , asked me spellings for some big words now and then. I was wondering what he was doing but didn't disturb( silence is very good for a writer you see)

When he came back with this story I was really..I mean really really shocked(better than mine).It was in comic style with hand drawn pictures.

As I promised him..here is the story (in attachments).

I don't want to spoil the originality so no explanations(doesn't need one I guess).Let me know what you think.

He wrote with what little words he knew.

It seems he first thought of the crow throwing stones at him from above, but then he realized that there won't be stones on top of a tree.

so he changed it to the crow poop version. You can see the picture is turned left to right, which means that this was(the third picture) a back view.(சத்தியமா இது அவன் சொல்லலைன்ன எனக்கு தெரிஞ்சிருக்காது.)

The man is in indiana jones costume if you look closely.Yeah my little cow boy is a die hard indi fan..

 

I think he will be far better than me..:thumbsup
