Sister........What a sweet relationship it is....:)...!

I am a sister........a loving , doting sister for my brother......
But, I am not blessed enough to have a sister for myself......shakehead

    A sibling sister......

To share and exchange dolls and toys.......
To discus how to handle boys.......
To sneer up on her secret ploys.....
To cheer up on her little joys.......

To get some cues on fashion and make-up......
To get the taste of fights and patch-up.........
To rest assured that she's my back-up............
To reassure that we could cover-up........

To learn to keep my secret diaries......
To lean to weep my silly worries...........
To learn to cook some spicy curries.....
    To steal candies from kitchen-caddies...

    To swing with me.....
    To sing with me.....

    To fight with pillows....
    To walk in the willows...

mmmm........A never ending list of sweet moments with sister.........:)

I just try to taste this sweetness.......
The sweetness of a sister.......while sipping my tea on lone afternoons.......:coffee
gazing the distant hills........In my world of dreams.........:)

A Sister....just as sweet as Strawberries and cream...........

    Dear friends.......
Please add some Strawberries and cream to my dreams..........
By sharing your sweet memories with your sweet sister.......
just as sweet as strawberries and cream.....
    :help....:thankyou2:Bow

    Dear Bhargs,

that was as sweet as fresh strawberries and cream:)

I have the BEST brother that anyone would wish for and yet, there are times I feel it would have been lovely to have a sister too.....I would have been more talkative and expressive then, I guess.:)

Bhargavi dear a nice topic on sisters.

A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life."

I also have a sweet sister who loves me so much and always brings a smile on my face with her loving actions. Before marriage we have spent our lives together. We were great friends and used to share everything. We used to fight also but that was loving fight. She is three years elder to me and always gives advice to me. Sometimes I used to listen to her and sometimes used to get angry with her.

Any new saree she used to ask me to wear first and then only she will wear. She is a simple person with no expectations.

When she got married I cried so much because she was going to Delhi after marriage. After marriage I missed her a lot because we always used to go together everywhere. I was there during her first delivery. Her son also used to say you both miss each other but when you meet you are fighting. But that was not real fight but loving fight between us. I feel we are the best sisters in the world.

"Sisters touch your heart in ways no other could.
Sisters share... their hopes, their fears, their love, everything they have.
Real friendship springs from their special bonds."
    ~Carrie Bagwell~

I can go on and on but let me stop here

but as time passes by, i just cant point out at which moment, we started sharing, caring, and supporting each other.... Just so lucky to have the darling sister..:cheers

    Hi Bhargavi
Your poem moved me ...lovely. I have sis, and trust me even today I have to advice her on every single thing (I cannot still believe that shes a mother now).
I can just share one particular incident for which I almost throttled her. My dad hated me using nailpoilsh when I was young, finally when i got into grade 8, my wish came through (nd true).......as we were walking thru the bazzar ( i love those bazzars and miss them....thanks to the mall culture these days.), he stopped by this small shop. He had seen me eying those colors in glee every single time I walked thru that alley. May be he was so carried away with my "twinkle in my eyes" that he agreed to buy me two. I grabbed a tips-toes (those days that was in vogue)...one brown and other baby pink....I made sure I had the two distinctive colors.
I came home applied the borwn on my toes and pink on my finger nails, left the first coat to dry and on returning to apply the second coat.....lo and behold...what do I see....my little sis (she was about 5) uncaped both the bottles and was happly mixing them...half on the floor, some on her dress and a new version of the mixed colors in each bottle. Should I write more.....too painful...even the pure recollections....to be honest, I have still not forgiven her for being that silly girl and ruining my colors!
When she got her first salary...she bought me a dozen of colors;...she knew she had been a menace!

I had to respond to this one line...sorry for crossing paths.
My daughter has a dear bro too...who treats her like a princess....but she never lets him talk as she goes chatter chatter....all the way. He being the elder, understands how crazy gals are :)) and just shuts up!
