    In India and the other developing nations, it is a way of life to meet the ends &/or to quench the creative thirst. When westerners do the same, they do it on a bigger scale and create a trend. Irrespective of who does it and how, I guess, reducing the burden on earth is the need of the hour.

    Exactly I thought about the same idea. The need of the hour is not to overburden our earth. Western people introduced plastic carry bags and it spread all over the world. Now it is in reversing trend. City after city, state after state ban those carry bags in US. Recently in Tamilnadu they completely banned the use of plastic bags. Better late than never regarding the awareness.
