    Dear Vannu,

thanks for coming in with such warm and nice words.

When I wrote those lines you have quoted I was not feeling sad but only surprised. I had to struggle hard for the translation work. Dictionaries, editing, being bowled over by peculiar Tamil expressions ... But the problem is to read such historical stuff people need to have a lot of patience and time as well. I guess that's the reason for the poor readership. Or perhaps they expected more from me and I failed them. If it's the second I can't be blamed for I have given whatever I can, packing it my life and soul.

I had planned to start this serial soon after Ponniyin Selvan started. But I held myself back seeing the declining response for PS. Then I thought may be people do not like my story and waited till somebody asked for it. And it took seven weeks for that to be noticed.

I am happy and proud to know that you do wanted to ask me about it. That's really flattering.

Thanks for your kind wishes, Vannu. Now that you have broken your silence please visit the blogspace to offer your comments. just write a single line, at least a single word, "good or bad".
For us writers bad comments is better than no comments.

    Dear Shail,
nice to see you here after a gap. And thanks a lot for those kind words which I may refer back when my spirits are low.

Yes, I have now learnt the lesson of carrying on whatever may be the results.
I am now convinced that so long as I am able to touch a single heart with my words that I have a moral obligation to continue writing.

    thanks once again, Shail.

I thought like you are telling me. As I didnt give any fb on PS 13&14 (because of work, though i read it in the morning only ), I actually remembered that while reading this blog.

As usual sir I am going to wait for thursdays also. You have made my two office days better. Wednesday and thursday ...thanks to you .... :)

    Dear Sridhar,
I maynot have given my fb for PS but you should know that I can't thank you enough for bringing up the brilliant work of translating an epic so that non-tamilians like me can understand and feel the essence of this great work. I am a regular reader of PS and I am proud that I am also getting to know such a great story from you Sir.

Waiting for your serial and next episode of PS.

Also, want to let you know that when i read PS i feel the characters and story happening right in front of me. I remember as a child when i read Enid Blyton novels I had felt the same way!:bowdown

    Regards and Wishes,
    Jaya

Thanks a lot, Kerman. I was thinking of the comment you gave to love cubed. That the end was a little cinematic. I am planning to make amends this time.
Don't worry about PS. It will continue as usual. Just to give you some statistics - the first part of PS contains 57 chapters. I have posted up to 14 chapters and I have another 6 chapters ready for editing. Which means we have covered one-third of the First Part or 1/15th of the whole novel.
thanks for the enthusiasm shown on PS which alone keeps it alive.

    Hello Perfectionist,
Sorry, I didn't mean you. You were almost the first to give your fb. At times there is a small delay but you have not missed even a single post so far.
I was talking generally. As a writer I have to keep on feeling the pulse of my readers. I was just wondering the readership of PS is much less compared to my other serials. I am not talking about the fbs, Pooja. Even the number of views is far less.

But I have decided to go about this work whatever may the statistics.

As usual sir I am going to wait for thursdays also. You have made my two office days better. Wednesday and thursday ...thanks to you .... [IMG]

When I read these lines I felt all the efforts, all the lonely hours I spent before the system when the whole world was asleep have not gone waste. Even if I am able to bring happiness to just one person I can consider myself a successful writer.
Thanks pooja for these words which made my day.
