Congratulations Rakhii!! How about involving him also when you are taking care of the baby. You can ask him to put the baby to sleep few times or play with her. I think he is just feeling little left out. This is just a phase and I am sure all three of you will just get adjusted. All the very best!!

I agree that if the situation way other way round, it would have been much more worst. But at the end of day, a husband should respect and keep his hands to himself when I say no. At the same time, I should understand that sometimes I need to give in.

See, close to 2 days and we are not talking. The whole weekend is gone...he is going to be busy from tomorrow until Friday again. What a mess!!

My two cents:
Give him more sex. The baby is becoming an excuse to check out as a wife which was not what he enlisted for. He enlisted for a baby, not an absent wife. Sex is the easiest and directest way to appreciate him as a man. He will forgive you if you fall asleep midway. I know that care of a new born is a huge job but that doesn't negate his feelings. As a side note, making children the sole focus of the household produces another generation of narcissists and we have all read the threads about them. Keep your baby and husband in balance please.

Next time, this happens, just kiss your hubby back and ask him to hold for a moment, put ur sleeping baby aside and go for a good round of ***. Now that you are newly delivered, u need not even bother about contraceptions ! Go for it !

I used to hate it when I had delivered my first child. Used to think, how can this man think of all this when I need to be with the baby ! But after my second, it was me who was put the baby aside and went with my DH. Realised very late that there is nothing to feel guilty about.

Your hub wants to be with you, so accept it lovingly !

Tashidelek and vishy, I completely agree that there is nothing to be ashamed of. I just don't want to be distracted while nursing. That's all I am asking. It's not like is an saying no to him. I explained this several times that.

 Sorry I don’t think this is true. You can still get pregnant just after giving birth.
