Let me not start off that we are forever complaining, but there is no denying that quite often we love to complain!

The foremost perennial complaint is about God! How strange?? It is He who has gifted us our very lives, but still we grieve over what we are not or what we have not.

There is no doubt that we enjoy all comforts of life, but complaining without fail!
If it is very hot, we complain.
If it rains, we do it more because our commuting gets restricted!

We must remember that by complaining we only make others irritable – who wants to listen to it, anyway??

By complaining we add stress and pressure to an already problematic situation and it is hurtful as well.

Our complaining produces a gut reaction in others and it gets on their nerves as well.
They very often feel like showing us the way out. In their eyes, we are seen inadequate and our credibility is also damaged, sometimes.

Very often, we complain when we don’t want to do a thing or doubt if it would be beyond us to do. This complaining from us only proves that we are not in charge and it also reveals we lack patience and the ability to act for ourselves.
The best way to rephrase a complaint would be to put it across in friendly and helpful terms like the way Banks remind us of overdue payments!

When somebody solicits our help by way of a complaint, we can take the sting out of it by paying attention to it even if it is beyond our scope.

Finally, I personally feel, complaining shows us in poor light as powerless and helpless.
The weaknesses we can’t face in ourselves are what we complain about most in others.

    I tell myself the following:
I take responsibility for my life.
I have the power to make things better.
    I always have a choice.

    Love,
    Chithra.

    Chithmam,

Complaints inc., I feel today, most people have this habit and it is almost perennial in their nature. I feel they may change the nature/size of the complaints but never the time taken to complaint.

Sometimes, i wonder, you have to do the job, why not do it with a positive attitude, instead of complaining.

Can we afford to put across, a indicator like banks (overdue statements) in most cases...

I think, God has been kind, to be always being there for me, during tough and easy times so no complaints...

Thanks,Shan! You gave me no chance to complain that there has been no reply hours after I posted!!
There are people to whom complaining for one thing or other, atleast about the "foul weather" is second nature. Our complaint makes us look like a "cry-baby", I feel!
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear chithra ji,
Most people often tend to complain, somehow i noticed it quite infectious too. Take a case (just an imagination) the lady will complain abt her in laws, you will immediately see the other party comes with an answer abt her in laws. If it is genuine problem it is good to give an ear or help the afflicted party, most often you find them complaining for trivials. Please move away from such people otherwise you may end up like them.
Also i notice there are who enjoy complaining whom usualy i call them as "moaners and groaners". 24/7/365 will be groaning abt "this is not right that is wrong". It will be difficult to tolerate such people.
Life has not been bed of roses ,but we got enjoy the rose & learn to cushion from the thorns. This comes from the gratitude to the Divine whose tapestry we are yet to comprehend.

You have put the aspect of complaining in the most practical way posssible. When we can see the way you have shown it..i'm sure our lives will be smoother. Many a times we do not have a big complain but just due to time constraints we just react and not think how it will be taken as by others.

Whenever somebody is complaining, we tend to retort less for fear of infuriating them.
Complaing about in-laws? Some ladies have developed it as a specialised art!! That is sure, infectitious, I agree. There are more "whiners" around us which prompted me to blog on this topic!
    Love,
    Chithra.

people may not have a valid thing to say, so just come out with a complaint!!
Even in our own forum, there are many who complain "nobody sends me FBs... blah blah".Why complain? take it that you must improve! My last blog received the (so far) poorest views & replies. But, I just enjoyed writing it for my own pleasure. Period!!
I do not want to complain!
    Love,
    Chithra.

SInce I was in the school, I loved to write , but mostly the stuff would get lost or I would tear away as the diaries were a pain to look after. Then IL happened... now I can write , share with others , and if there is an fb then its the icing on the cake. :banana
We again come to the old topic... expectations are the root of all woes.bonk

    Dear Chitra mam

The person who complaints about others, never grow in his life. His whole life is wasted in finding faults with others. It is not a positive approach also.

I always say to my kids - admit the mistakes. Dont tell that becoz of some one this mistake happened.

    Nice post.

complaining is a way of life for some people. If they fail to do a job also, they give a complaint about others as an excuse.
    Love,
    Chithra.
