A brisk morning walk and a leisurely breakfast on a friday

I went for a walk this morning.

A brisk walk on a sunny morning.......

What all can we get from that.......?

Burnt calories.........
Better metabolism......
Increased flexibility.....
A good dose of vitamin-D.....
A sense of accomplishment.....
A hope that the weight scale would dip slightly in my favor.....

Also,

A tryst with waking nature......
A serving of sweet bird songs......
A wisp of fresh breeze.....
A glimpse of dew drops on roses.....
A touch of warm sun........

Along with all these ,
I picked a little lesson on life today.......
A simple lesson.....

As I walked, I saw my shadow ......
Taller than me.....
Going ahead of myself......
In the same direction.....
With the same pace........

Flash........
I started ruminating and reflecting.....:coffee
And picked my lesson.....

In our 10 years of marriage......
There were times when he seemed ahead of me......Just like this morning's shadow.......
Now, we are walking together......just like the way a shadow would look like in mid day........
There would be a time, when I shall be ahead.......

But, all through these 10 years.....we were together......
Walking at the same pace......
Climbing all the ups and downs.......
It just seemed that he was ahead for a while......

How profound and true......

I came back home......
Humming Lathaji's masterpiece...." Tu jahan.... jahan chalega......Mera saaya....saath hoga........."

We had a quiet, leisurely, romantic tea and breakfast on a friday....
After a lonnnng time.......

Though he was a little late for his office, my workaholic DH did not complain......
But left with a smile........
That is still there on me.......

After all we are one individual and shadow right......
Just shifting positions according to continuously changing times......

I continue humming the song......." Tu jahan....jahan chalega......."

How about a leisurely breakfast with your loved one on a working day friends......?!

Very refreshing and sweet post Bhargavi

Do enjoy these moments together for a long long time

My husband and I do have b'fast together on most weekdays. Some days I even join him for lunch.
Enjoyed the post much; just wish the Hindi-challenged-I understood the meaning of the song.

Bhargavi dear a thought provoking write up to read early in the morning. Glad to know you have completed 10 years of marriage and your dh always being with you either forward or backward but always together. Is your Wedding Anniversary over or yet to come.

Reading your write up made me think of my married life and cant believe that I have entered the fortieth year of my married life and will be completing 40years next year if everything goes well. My dh though short tempered is a gem of a person and has always been with me always. Though in some cases our thoughts are different we have had a enjoyable life though there was some sadness also sometimes. But on the whole a good life.
