I always wonder what is life . For some women its only getting married, raring children, getting them married having grandchildren, cooking, keeping the house clean, looking after the family, praying to God and they feel the family is full only after having children and grandchildren.

Life is just divided into two parts. First half is all about living it and the rest is all about missing the moments

To me life is as above but also being social, working in an office, rising from a small post to a big post , achieving something in the office, getting appreciation from everyone.

My married life is different. Since my sister in laws are not working women for them cooking, keeping the house clean and doing all the rituals correctly, after 60 going for spiritual programmes.

I am not ashamed to tell that before marriage I did not take interest in cooking. My mother and grandmother were there to look after us and give us good food. They used to finish the cooking in the morning itself. My elder sister was there if they needed any help, so I was a free bird enjoying life to the fullest.

But I got married to a big family where knowing cooking was very important. Everyone in the family my dh's sisters and brothers all were expert in cooking. Any function everyone will be in the kitchen. They used to have no servants . After cooking the ladies used to wash all the clothes together when they come for any function and then cleaning the vessels , sweeping and swabbing. Everything they used to do with interest and it was a team work. they used to have fights also but in any function allw ere one and everyone used to praise our family. Earlier both my husband and brother in law for any function used to be in the kitchen and they had to be called. Later everyone was well off now they have servants at home but still in my brother in law's house he only does the cooking for any function and everyone helps him.

Since I was not so good in cooking and doing other work I used to feel bad. Now I have learnt so many things but in the beginning if you dont know the impression remains the same. My dh's family members are very loving and caring and they take the lead in everything.

Today I feel though I had children and brought them up nicely with the help of my dh and they are well settled. They got married at the right age and well settled. The drawback is they dont have children. Atleast good that my daughters adopted.

As a working women I worked hard for 38 years from a Typist became a Stenograher then Senior Assistant and I was proud that I handled the Bank Reconciliation of the whole Company. Everyone from the Finance Director to the other bosses of mine had full confidence in me and even when I had hip bone fracture they left it to me to solve the problems when we had new system in teh computer and problems in the reconciliations. Finally with the help of everyone I succeeded in doing my job well.

By God's grace and my dh's support I could manage office and home properly.

Step by step the journey goes on, Little by little it may seem so long.
Forget ur past, you can’t change it, Forget ur future, you can’t predict it.
Just think about present, you can handle it.
Enjoy presents every moment & be happy….

A challenge is an opportunity to prove ability to yourself …., and to others. Most never reach the level of achievement of which they are capable, because they do not challenge themselves enough…..

I feel I have done something in life by being a working women though I might not have been expert in cooking in the family. But I am happy that after retirement I am able to be a good wife seeing to his needs and giving more importance to him and taking care of him and giving him the best whatever I can.

I ask to myself have I been a good woman in this life
