Yes, I agree with you. I am pretty sure ayurveda or homeopathy will help me find a solution without surgery and further injuring my body.
I am not planning on going to go ahead with the surgery as I feel my body is slowly healing. I am having a appt with doc next month to confirm this. Hope all goes well.

As I have mentioned, keep the area very very clean which includes the following:
Washing your front with water whenever you have a stool discharge or after you have your bowels
Change your underwear more than once a day.
Never let the stool stay in the front area. When it stays it may get into urethera causing urinary infections and also, vaginal infections.
Vaginal infections cause your fistula to become bigger and interuupt the self healing process.
Remember, our body has ability to grow tissues when the surrounding areas are not infected (i.e) having good tissue. For instance: your wound in knee or hand will get closed over by new skin, vaginal area works the same.
KEY ITEMS: KEEP YOUR FFRONT AREA VERY VERY CLEAN TO PREVENT INFECTION SO YOU R GIVING A CHANCE FOR HEALTHY TISSURE TO GROW AND CLOSE THE HOLE. ALSO, IF U HAVE EXISTING INFECTION, ASK YOUR DR FOR AN ANTOBACTERIAL.they gave me a pill called flagyl here..it has side effects so conslt ur doc abt pills.
MORE IMPORATNTLY, eat healthy. Lots of protein (lean meats, pulses etc) for tissue generation and Vitamin C for healing (orange, cranberry juices).
on the top, pray to allmighty. That will boostyour confidence.

Reg my condition, I had a rectovaginal fistula. I am hoping you also have the same..also, reading your post I am thinking your fistula is tiny since your liquid stool is found. This was also my case. I followed the things I have said above. I am sure it will self heal. Most of the obstetric ones do.
God will bless you and I will pray that it also self heals for you. I was advised not to use tampons or sex till everthing was fully healed, so take precautions.

Hi,
Iam now in recovery phase but left with a big hole in my brain. Scared of everthing now. Doc said granulation tissue covered up. I guess thats what they do in the surgery (i.e) sew up the healthy tissue together.. I thinkthas whatnthey did.
did u take any antibiotuis for infection? The surrounding tissue needs to be healthy tp regrow thats why they put me on antobiotics first. Also, ours is delivery related, so unlike fistula due to crohns disease etc, this will not recur if the surgery is a success.
