Maybe it took only 3 births to get rid of that pride because they had already realised their mistake---rightly said, Krish! Intentions and thoughts played an important role in this!

As God dwells in all human beings it is just a means used to teach humankind to bring their Godliness to the fore and not the demonic qualities.

I like this perspective, Uma . We are in the process of learning, Uma!

Whenever the bad exceeds the good, it is then Lord Himself takes birth here and destroys the evil. This is what Lord Krishna has clearly stated in Bhagawad Gita and you are right to the point, Aruna!

    hi sriniketan,

as per the real puranam, jaya and vijaya do not want to separate themselves from the Lord and thus they chose 3 bad births which is shorter than 7 births which comparatively longer.

but i see a good in bad. if at all they didn't choose the 3, we would not have had the great epics ramayana and mahabaratha. they had a very distance view of the generations. we cannot consider them as ordinary dwarakapals.

incase they choose pious births, their existence would have only been ordinary like other pious people. whereas they made the Lord Himself to descend and set an example for living (Ramayana and Mahabaratha).

though the Lord granted them 3 bad births, when He incarnated He gave them lot of chances to become good. when they continued to be bad they were totally eradicated.

so i conclude - bads are eradicated and short lived but the goods remain remain remain remain for generations.

very good post. enjoyed and learnt while replying.

    hi,

one more to add - we intelligent people would need examples for anything to believe.

jaya and vijaya had fore vision and thus they took 3 bad births to explain us what is being good & bad, its repercussions. and also Who is God and how great He is.

    Thanks Vanaja for the FB.

It is true that we could have got the 'Ramayana, Mahabharta and Bhagawad Gita' to name a few, if Jaya and Vijaya has chosen the pious path.
Rightly said, if they had chosen the pious births, they will be one among thousands and millions of pious souls!

Good people will live and the bad will be destroyed--is the message, accepted.
This reminds one dialogue in a Rajni movie--- where he says that ' it seems God favours bad people, but He will let them down at the last moment and it seems God is not with good people, but He saves them at the last moment'.
