    2 * 6 min @ 5.2mph = 1.04 mile

    I am also not running daily. Sunday I did 19 miles cycling on the trail and couldn't do anything the next day. Any day I shop or clean the house, again my legs feel very sore to run! I would do anything for a pedicure:grinning:

    07/02 - 1.04 mile run

    I love cycling as much as running and it gives me no foot pain..Nice weather, lots of trees, trail has mile markers so its easy for me to track my progress too..I put on some nice music and keep cycling away!
    Yesterday went 20 miles cycling...so no running for two days!! I am going to run the next 4 days..been slacking so much:angry:

    07/07

    8 min * 5.2mph = 0.69
    6 min * 5.5 mph = 0.55

    Total = 1.24

    I noticed that I am now comfortable with 5.2mph..I felt I could do even 10 min continuously or may be more. 5.5mph is still difficult..huffing badly at the end of 6 min. No pain in my feet in the last few days too:banana: which used to be a huge problem!
    Tomm. is Zumba class, day after cycling outside then rest. Will be back on Monday!

    Biking is amazing..especially in summer when its hot all the time and you can feel the breeze on your face when you are cycling (I cycle either from 6-8am or 6-8pm)..My thighs get a very good workout. If you plan on buying a bike, I would suggest on not buying a mountain bike. Bikes with the thinner tires are easier to pedal. I unfortunately bought a mountain bike (with thick tires) and because of that my speed is not picking up. The bike itself is heavy. So I have to put lot more effort for the same result:BangHead:..Having spent 100$+ on it, feel bad about buying another one..may be next summer I'll buy a better one..I had thought that the thicker the tire, the sturdier it would be, I did not think about the weight at all! You would need a helmet (very very light..so no hair probs), water bottle holder along with it

    How is barre fitness? What does it involve? In my gym they have it but i am not sure how different it is from Zumba..I like trying different classes, even did a weightlifting class for a month..liked it but used to get headaches later..I think I did too much weight too soon.
