Hi Gayathri n Saras, As saras said i do watch Football only during world cup. I like the game very much. With lots of energy and power, the game goes well. Whom do you think will win the cup this time? Cheers, Jaya
Hi Saras and jaya for dropping in. I have to be true to you too, I dont usually watch matches, but keep at tab on the newspapers for my favourites. But during world cups, I become a bit crazy for the power filled matches!! I have had a soft corner for Brazil always! I would love them to win! Kaká jai ho!:crazy And also England? I wont mind them winning too:bonk. Having said that, these are my favourites, and they really have a tough competition ahead!
Latest News - Rio Ferdinand was today ruled out of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Rio Ferdinand was today ruled out of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. The new England skipper suffered a knee ligament injury at the end of a training session on the Three Lions' first full day in South Africa. He was immediately sent to a local hospital for a scan by manager Fabio Capello, but the news has been bad enough to rule Ferdinand out of the entire tournament. The FA confirmed the news this evening, with Ferdinand expected to be sidelined until the middle of next month. It is obviously bad news and everyone with the squad is very disappointed and sorry for Rio. England coach Fabio Capello "Further to a scan arranged by the England medical staff immediately after training on Friday afternoon, Rio has been ruled out for four to six weeks and will therefore unfortunately miss the World Cup," said a statement. Hi Gayathri, Yeah many players getting hurt and are out of the WC is really a sad news. My Fav team is Brazil, but the competition between brazil with england or argentina or italy would be eye catching in final. Lets see who picks the cup. And as there is only 5 days to go, here is the time table of WC so that u can never miss and enjoy watching your fav team. Cheers, Jaya
4 days to go!! You can feel the excitement here! Although Bafana Bafana (South Africa) are not favourites they are doing well now and I hope they go as far into the games as possible. Brazil is a family favourite but I think Spain is also a strong team to watch out for. I'm scared for Argentina to win cos I don't want to see Maradona running around naked! We have tickets to the match at Moses Mabhida stadium on 13 June which is Germany vs Australia. I favour Germany but injury earlier has also ruled out 2 key players (captain included). It's like you can hardly believe it's so close. All the hype from years ago and now IT IS HERE, FEEL IT! Regards Neesha
I am eagerly waiting too. I like the ENERGY of the game very much. Add me to those who said " Kaka hi Jai Ho !"
Ohhhhh I love football. During the hostel days used to watch the world cup standing in the road in front of TV showrooms. Lately I have been out of touch. Thanks a lot for reminding . US ladies; any idea which channels in US are showing it? -Nitha
