“When a wife has a good husband it is easily seen in her face.”

Sure I agree, she is not frowning and always smiling. The good health shines through her face, expressions and happy attitude. She dresses well, wears make up, keeps up her health and loves herself. The skin and hair shine and look well kept.

But women in a bad marriage are depressed, not well groomed, do not take care of themselves, don't smile, even if they smile its like a half hearted fake smile, they look gloomy and mind is somewhere though physically present. Its easy to tell something is not right.

interesting why this quote does not work for celebrities?? and I guess for many women who are smart to not show it out to the world.. They are gorgeous and fresh as a flower everyday, but still there are many relationship breakups and divorces in their life too..

 

May be this quote is targeted for common women and not celebrities (may be that's why they are celebrities or what :confused2

Here is my take on this: It purely depends on how 'good' is defined with any women in terms of her hubby. If a women is happy with her hubby, then yes she will be happy and it reflect it in her appearance and attitude.

But, I have come across ladies who never are/ look happy with what they have and especially hubby :rant. On the other hand, there are ladies who seem to be pretty calm and content giving the impression of happy when they are really not. :idea

(Talking only about wife's perspective here as topic is about wife)

My mom is one such ever fresh flower.
Does'nt matter what goes on in her life, she always wears her smile and fresh clothes, deodrant/spray, well kept hair and nails.

Good quote, but what is the depth of the meaning of 'good' in it. As the term good husband will be a perception so differently configured by the wife that this becomes more vague when it is discussed. Ofcourse, like you all agree, some woman can have a smile on their face (atleast to outsiders) whatever the case may be at home. So, it is hard to judge if that wife has a good husband or not.
