ஓ டாக்டர் மை டாக்டர் ஓ மை GOD

டாக்டர்: “ சொல்லுங்க.. என்ன உடம்புக்கு..?”

வந்த பேஷண்ட்: “நான் சொல்றேன் டாக்டர்... ஆனா அதுக்கு முன்ன இந்த பேப்பர்ல நான் எழுதியிருக்கிறத நீங்க படிக்கணும் டாக்டர்..! கோபப்படாம, பொறுமையா நீங்க இதை படிக்கணும்..

உங்களுக்கு BP இருக்குன்னா இப்பவே மாத்திரை போட்டுக்கோங்க..!”

டாக்டர் அதிர்ந்து, “என்னது..? நான் ஏன் கோவப்படணும்..? அப்படி என்னா எழுதியிருக்கீங்க....? குடுங்க..!"

படிக்க ஆரம்பிக்கிறார்...

"டாக்டர்..! உங்களுடைய கன்ஸல்டேஷன் ஃபீஸ் 300 ரூபாய் என்று அறிந்தேன். ஆனால் நான் உங்களுக்கு 500 ரூபாய் ஃபீஸ் தருகிறேன். நீங்கள்

தேவையில்லாமல், Blood Test, Xray, Scan, எல்லாம் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று கட்டாயப்படுத்தாமல், உங்கள் அனுபவ அறிவை நன்றாக உபயோகிக்க வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறேன்..!

ஏதாவது டெஸ்ட் செய்துதான் ஆகவேண்டும் என்று நீங்கள் ‘கடவுள் மேல் சத்தியமாக’ நினைத்தீர்கள் என்றால் மட்டும் சொல்லுங்கள்; செய்கிறேன். ஆனால் அந்த டெஸ்ட்டெல்லாம் ‘இங்கு’தான் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட லேபை சொல்லாமல் இருந்தீர்களானால், உங்களுடைய 'கமிஷன்' 500 ரூபாயை நானே கொடுத்து விடுகிறேன் டாக்டர்..!

அடுத்து, நிஜமான, தகுந்த, தவிர்க்க முடியாத காரணம் இல்லாமல், ‘ஹாஸ்பிட்டல்ல அட்மிட் ஆகிவிடுங்கள்’ என்று சொல்லாதீர்கள் என்று நான் உங்கள் கால்களில் விழுந்து மன்றாடிக் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறேன் டாக்டர்.. !

அப்படி ஹாஸ்பிட்டலில் நான் அட்மிட் ஆக வேண்டியது அவசியம்தான் என்று நீங்கள் உங்கள் தாய், தந்தை, குழந்தைகள் மேல் சத்தியமாக நினைத்தீர்கள் என்றால் மட்டும் சொல்லுங்கள்; அட்மிட் ஆகிறேன்..!
ஆனால், ‘இந்த’ ஹாஸ்பிட்டலில்தான் அட்மிட் ஆகவேண்டும் என்று (குறிப்பாக நான் கீழே குறிப்பிட்டுள்ள ஹாஸ்பிட்டல்கள் எதிலும்) கட்டாயப்படுத்தாமல் இருந்தீர்களானால் நான் உங்களுக்கு எக்ஸ்ட்ரா 3000 ரூபாய் ஃபீஸ் தருகிறேன் டாக்டர்..!

இதைப் படிக்கும் போது உங்களுக்கு நிறைய கோபம் வரும்..! நான் சொல்ல வருவது:

டாக்டர்கள் தெய்வம்தான். தெய்வங்கள் பொய் சொல்லவும், நம்பியவர்களை ஏமாற்றவும் கூடாது இல்லையா டாக்டர், அதிலும், எங்களைப் போல பாவப்பட்ட நடுத்தரவர்க்க மக்களை..?

உடல்நலம் வாழ்க்கையில் அதிமுக்கியம் என்பது உண்மைதான். ஆனால், டாக்டர், சிகிச்சைக்கு அப்பாலும் எங்களுக்கு ஏகப்பட்ட செலவினங்கள் இருக்கிறதே டாக்டர்..? பிள்ளைகுட்டிகளை வளர்க்க வேண்டுமே..? பெண்ணை கல்யாணம் செய்து கொடுக்க வேண்டுமே..? இன்னும் பல கடமைகள் இருக்கின்றனவே டாக்டர்..? கொஞ்சம் யோசித்துப் பாருங்கள்..!
எனவே, தயவு செய்து இதையெல்லாம் நீங்கள் மனதில் நிறுத்தி, ‘சத்தியம் தவறாமல், நியாயம் பிறழாமல், மனசாட்சிக்கு விரோதமில்லாமல் என் பணியை நான் செய்வேன்’ என்று உளசுத்தியுடன் உங்கள் குலதெய்வத்தின் மேல் ஆணையிட்டு கும்பிட்டு விட்டு சிகிச்சை ஆரம்பியுங்கள் டாக்டர்..!"

டாகடர், எழுந்து போய் நிஜமாகவே BP மாத்திரை போட்டுக் கொண்டார்..!

படித்ததில் டாக்டர்க்கு சுட்டது.

 

A few out of many physicians in big hospital owe their position at helm only because they take good care of their patients at low cost. But modern medicine system has developed lab tests that includes x Ray, scan and other non invasive diagnostic methods.

The machines are expensive and the hospital has to recover cost of the machine and make emi payments to many. Whether needed or not, machines are to be engaged and patients are to be created with elaborate tests prescribed by senior doctors so that their associates can thrive on.

COVID reduced footfalls and many big hospitals found it difficult to maintain staff and hospital with empty beds. There were no takers. How all emergencies disappeared or never even occurred and surgeries vanished. All ambulances used only for driving COVID affected people for many months.

Huge beneficiaries of COVID are insurance company shareholders. The companies spend less, no or nil compensation claims did good to their bottom line with revenues steady, the shares gained lots of value.

Pharmacy industries too suffered internationally as there were no takers of medicines .

What does it prove? The medical industry was taking a jolly good ride on unthinking patients and hypochondriacs to mint money.

One must stop surrendering at first opinion go for the second if necessary third and you would find the findings and need for surgery all unwanted. But then people believe their patients will have to go through rigmarole of a hospital to enter heavens a tad later.

Majority of all deliveries in almost all urban hospitals are c section. Natural birth is always shunned. Compare it with fifty years ago, when almost all deliveries took place naturally. With no or least equipments support mothers of yore delivered babies almost every year even exceeding six.

(I wonder how time of birth of & for CS babies in horoscopes used as natural birth time. King Karikalan of South India as a baby his delivery to this world was delayed to get his delivery on an auspicious hour. His mother was subject to special treatment during her labour).


I have a story in the link for a situation where one doctor advised for surgery as emergency whereas another doctor at another popular hospital recommended only yoga exercise!
