    Dear Chitra,

What is the capacity of ur MW ??
I heard that the 28 ltr samsung is equivalent to 26 ltr LG...

Now for the Food Processors, Forget about veggies for chinese cooking, does the food processor help in other ways?? what else do u use the FP for???
    Pls help.

    Love & Regards,

    Hello Meena !

My M W is 24 litres. If you buy a very big one, time taken may be more.
Kenwood - liquidiser is excellent & food processor also. But, if by any chance you are buying Preethi mixi with liquidiser, then you don't have to buy Kenwood at all. Braun handblender with mincer attachment will do. But it will mince & not grate.
I strongly suggest you make a trip to Chennai - we can explore together all the shops !
    Love,
    Chithra.

just waiting to make a trip -just wanna do that./

    Dear Chitra,

How I wish I'm there with you.
I'd love to go around shopping with you.
let me see if I can somehow make a trip just to see you first.
BTW, I'm seriously thinking about it, Chitra

Now, the preeti mixi that u mentioned, is it just a mixer or food processor.
Is it just a mixer with liquidiser??? wihtout any other attachments??

sorry to keep coming back with more and more questions - just wanna finalise on these.

    Love & Regards,

Ready to answer all questions, Meena !

    Dear meena,
I have Preethi model called Supra plus - it has a liquidiser jar extra than the usual 2 jars of any mixi. No other attachment.
I have a centrifugal juice extractor ( nova - imported) to make vegetable & fruit juices - I make my own combinations from, apple, guava, grapes, carrots, cucumber, tomato, water melon + ginger. You do not need to add water at all.
With these, I have Braun handblender with mincer. This is good for all fine chopping.
Grating, I do only mechanically with a grater, because it is easier to mince than grate.
What you need depends entirely on your style of cooking.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Cluster bean (Gawahar)

    Hi Chithra

I hope you are doing fine.

My hubby he loves potatoes but prefers potatoes dishes without much gravy (dry). The other day I tried your recipe Potato Roast - the Perfect foil to Vengaya Sambar…….he loved it. It is so easy and simple. Thank you so much.

This is the 2nd time I tried your recipe and it was a success. I have a list of your recipes which I am going to try out one by one.

Chithra , you know the other day we had been to a Gujarathi restaurant and they were serving Cluster beans (Gawahar baji) and surprisingly my hubby was also relishing it. But when I went recipe seeking on the web, strangely I came across few (guess it is not a famous vegetable )….and to be frank I couldn’t help myself thinking of you …the only person to answer all queries………..So pls if possible and whenever you have the time (pls I am in no hurry) I will be very happy to receive a recipe for cluster beans from you (any style will do but preferably Chithra style). (I hope I am not asking for too much)

    Luv Rita

It is a pleasure, Rita !

    Dear Rita,
As you mentioned clusterbeans is not so popular in North, though it is a vey favourite vegetable in the South !
I am drafting " Ways with clusterbeans" now & I plan to post it this week !
Mine will all be only Chithra Style - for sure.
Thanks for the potato roast feedback !
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Thanks

    Dear vandhana,
thanks a lot for clearing my doubt about ketchup and sauce. It is really informative. Sometimes I have used ketchup in the place of sauce with out knowing the difference. It s important to know such details also to be a good cook. Thanks a lot.

    Hai meenaprakash

    Hai,
when buying MW, go for a convection model. In that you can bake also. I am having LG and it is very nice. But before deciding, go around and look at many items. That will be very helpful.
    Happy shopping.

    A small doubt, Varloo !

My daughter uses convection model M W for baking but she always complains the top of the cake does'nt brown nicely as in a baking oven. Please let me know your experience.
    Love,
    Chithra.
