    Krunchy karasev.

    Hi Mrs.C,

Too many changes in my lists, so, could not make olai pakoda, extremely sorry(will compensate)..Instead, made the ribbon pakoda, pottukadalai version which made for last Diwali.

And, the newer savory is karasev (first version), the old recipe which made like thenkuzhal, broke into pieces. Was talking to an ILite who made me to try this recipe, Very easy & the garlic pepper flavor was so professional. Wondering how did I miss this all these Diwalis?? Worth trying savory as has less amt of ghee!!

    Thanks a lot..

    Rama.

    Dear Smart_soul
Recently one of my friends tried adhirasam with the puttu flour available in the Indian stores. It turned just great and we could not find any difference . If puttu flour is available you could try with that .
Sorry for using your space Dear Mrs C
    Thanks

    My dear Chithra,

Today I made Pressure cooker halwa, it turned out well. The pressure cooking method saves lot of time and labour. The halwa was well cooked when taken out from the cooker and it took very less time to stir it in the gas adding ghee and spices. I was able to cut them into pieces. I have attached the picture of the halwa, please take a look and let me know.

Many thanks for sharing such foolproof recipes.

    Love and regards
    Priya

    Re: Atlast....Badhushah!!!

Dear Varloo, I agree that FBs "NOT FOR" D do sound lack-lustre!:-(
But we can't live only on sweets! we need regular food as well for daily existence.
    Thanks & love,
    Chithra.

Dear Sudha, thanks for all the FBs!
I make aval usili atleast once a week - so simple, yet so nice. Today I made 1 whistle chow chow curry; a real time saver with no compromise in taste.
Happy that the jiffy dishes are made use of, by you, fully!:)
    Love,
    Chithra.

Chitra, there is more emotion & sentiment in your post than a FB!! I too feel as if we, who regularly interact here are all members of a close-knit family (that is now non-existent is besides the point!)
This is such a sweet world for us where we forget our problems & enjoy together. God bless IL.:bowdown
    Love,
    Chithra.

Dear Niths, gulab jamun, rasogulla, makhan peda.... improve as they soak in syrup, enlarging in volume as well.
So, this year's most popular sweet seems to be choco pista rolls!!
    Thanks & love,
    Chithra.
