i think it depends on the plan you choose and the also depends on the company you work for.
e.g. i was working in company A and had aetna choice II insurance. That insurance use to cover only infertility diagnosis and no IVF or IUI.

Now i work with company B and again i have aetna choice II insurance and this time it cover IUI of IVF upto 5000$.

im not very sure how this works....

re: Help on IVF & Insurance

    Hi Anu,

We recently met a RE to discuss the the options of ivf in detail. The financial advisor also spoke in detail about the insurance coverage.Insurance coverage for IUI/IVF totally depends on the type of insurance that your employer offers.Like in our case though we have a insurance provider in our state which does covers 100% for IUI/IVF ,unfortunately my DH's wmployer doesn't offer that.So find out the different insurance providers offered by your employer and then you can call them and find out about the infertility coverage. There are some insurance which covers the diagnosis and monitoring (which will save you about 3500$ ) and have a specific amount alloted for infertility medicines once in a lifetime. My DH's insurance covers $5000 once in a lifetime for IF.So we were told that we can use that money for the medications as diagnosis/monitoring is already covered by our insurance.Hope my reply was helpful.Feel free to ask if you have any more doubts on this..

    Bye
    Priyanka

    Anu,

you can check your insurance company's site. There you can see list of doctors within that company's network in your area. You can search for speciality "reproductive endocrinologist" and it should list you doctors in your area.

If you have aetna's insurance then you can use following link.

    DocFind
