How much of YOUR family matters do you share with your partner?

    How much of YOUR family matters do you share with your partner? Partner because there are quite a few menfolk also in this forum.

    For instance, your brother/sis in love with someone and your parents are not up to it and have not opened the topic to any of the extended family. But you know about it. Or something that your family is not keen about revealing to others.

    And above all do you scare that if you told the matter to your partner, he/she would use it against you, say when you guys have an argument?

    I know a friend of mine whose husband and family would talk about so many things about their family, wedding, etc., etc., But everything will remain a hush hush to her....

    well...my DH knows each and everything i know....
    i can't keep anything secret from him :)
    i have complete faith in him that he won’t misuse it in any circumstances...

    i do share openly abt my folks/parents etc.. except a few issues related to money and my parents. as i feel its abt their self respect and i dont want to put my parents down in front of ANYONE..


    though DH does not say anything, but yes - he is fully capable of using it aainst me/them in times of fights or protecting his parents...

    Hi,

    I am not one among the lucky girls, i dont share anything with my husband, related to my family matters, since he is not supportive and uses everything against me when we fight, and insults my parents publically, specially beofre his family (bro/sis).

    So i keep it to myself and try to solve them.

    Yes we share everything related to both family's, marriage , finance, love life of my bro and sis :rotfl:rotfl if funny coz i bro falls in every single time he meets a girl... and he will call my dh and tell him.. and he makes fun of it by saying your bro has fallen in love again fr the 25th time :biglaugh:biglaugh

    but generally i know everything happening in his house and he know mine !!
