Hi, My name is Rama and it looks like we will be moving to Frankfurt from London sometime in early 2010. We plan to visit Frankfurt within the next two weeks to explore neighbourhoods and work options for me. Is there an Indian community in the Sachsenhausen area? We figured it would be nice to live in a mixed community as our knowledge of German is quite limited at this point. Any suggestions welcome. Thank you, Rama
hi Rama, I know 2 indian famlies living in sachsenhausen. There may be a lot. If you have any specific queries, i can help u.
Hi dgjo, I sent u a frnd request .. if u accept that u can send me private message inthat we can share mail id's. but for that i think u have to complete 50 posts or so ..just try . go to your personal options and see for frnd requests and accept. thanks Satya
Hi dgjo, Thanks for the reply I am visiting Frankfurt next week and will look around neighborhoods and international schools for my work. As for specific questions, I think I'll have more after this week's trip. What's the protocol for opening a bank account there? Does renting a flat take long or do things move quickly? Thanks, Rama
hi Rama, There are more international schools near Rodelheim. I am not sure, to which age group you teach. If it is for kids, there are few playgroups active in sacschenheusen area. Regarding bank account, all you need is just a reference from account holder. I can help u with reference. It is very easy to open bank account. I am not sure about flats. Because for few it will take months, and for few just some weeks. It all depends on your luck We rented our flat through a broker, since we were new to frankfurt by that time. If you teach for kids, I will be pleased to register my kid with you. regards, darshi
Hi Darshi, I will be in Frankfurt for the next three days. Hopefully there will be some clarity after this trip I have spoken to a couple of schools but am also looking into setting up private practice (focusing on language/social skill dpmt in young children). Let's see how things work out. Thank you for your time and help though. Lots of planning...aaaaaaarrrrgh.:bonkRama
