    Dear Chithra Mami,
Thank you very much for the links provided to me. My lifetime may not be enough to try all the items. You have uploaded a variety of items. I am trying one by one in my new MW. In the meantime, I am also trying some dishes in barley. If there are any MW recipes in barley, may I have it please :hide:. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Maami,

I have a doubt. Can we make ragi dosai with only ragi flour? Do we need ulundhu always? I had this ragi flour sitting in my pantry. I wanted to make ragi dosai but didn't have time to soak and grind ulundhu and ferment it. I tried to make just with the flour like how we make karaicha dosai. It was a disaster. the dosai was sticking to the pan. So, had this question. can we make ragi flour dosai with only flour? If yes, can you please give me a recipe?

    Thanks,
    Aswini

    Hi Aswini,

Yes you can do superb dosais with ragi flour only. Follow the method for atta/maida dosai

    http://www.indusladies.com/forums/6654-post89.html

i have made it twice so far and it's a great success. simply replace the atta or maida with ragi flour.

Thanks for the link, Latha. I will try this and see. I didn't add rice flour. don't know if that is the reason for sticking to the pan. should try with rice flour and see.

    Hi

We are planning a vacation in a resort with a kitchen facility - it will mostly have even a mixer, but not idli moulds or a tawa, so idlis, dosas and even chapathis are out of the question. What mixes can I take along for a week. It would be great if you could suggest a menu. Can I powder the dals to reduce cooking time.

    Thanks a lot
