Dear Menu, Thanks. The prejudice is more in the mind than in the taste! We must 'underplay' such things with our spouse for our own benefit!
Your menu is traditional & good - you have it in your name, na??:biggrin2:

    Dear Chithra,
it was lacha paratha and instant kurma with mix yesterday for evening tiffin. Both were excellent, I feel that the dough should have been a little more soft for the parathas. I want to try the chilli parota also, R loves it. I shall try that too soon. The kurma mix is a very handy one, taste was also so good.

    Dear Chitra
a f.b. after a long time. This evening I saw the receipe for Vanilla buns. It was so tempting so tried it. First it is very simple, I had them in small paper cups and were very cute the taste absolutely delicious. Not very sweet but soft and tasty. Planning to do some icing next time. The whole process took little more than 1/2 hr.

I also tried making phulkas the new way. The wheat flour I got this time is from whole wheat. The phulkas were extra soft and stayed softer for a longer time. To try it I ate after keeping it for some time. I used the F.P. for mixing the dough. This will be way to make phulkas hereafter.

Also made instant poricha kottu. A qucik and tasty dish. Here we get frozen diced potatoes they call it hashbrowns. I tried the potato roast with that. Came out very well. Only prob. they are cut very small. But it comes handy.

Thank you very much for taking so much effort in making our lives easier.

    With best regards
    shubha

    Dear Mam,

here iam with the most nutritious fb for the day.s today i prepared the "DAL BHATI CHURMA" and it was awesome.the receipe which you sent me was perfect and all i did was just blindly follow the instructions in receipe and it exactly took 1 hr 30 min .and we enjoyed the rajasthani thali at home.

along with tht i prepared kadai stir fry pulao and cucumber raita.

even though the receipe says to deepfry ,i noticed that the dough balls do not absorb the oil/ghee and so we need not be worried abt calories too.i baked half the bhatis in oven and other half deep fried in ghee/oil. and churma balls too were deep fried .powdered and added jaggery powder and cardamom ,then prepd ladoos of the mixture and topped it with cahew.the colour is too good and appealing.
the panchmel dal was also gd and tasted different from usual dals.

you may wonder why i have been writing this long.....,

iam really excited as this is the first time i tried it n is a success.

attaching a picture here of thali.

how do i thank you for all the encouragement you give for all of us.

    lots of love
    raji
