    Hi all,

Nice Discussion. I have spent both my school and college days as a day scholar. For college, I strived with my parents to go for a hostel. But my parents did not want me to stay away from them. While hostel is an interesting part that I wanted to experience, now I feel that it would have been very difficult for me if I had chosen a hostel.

    Have fun,
    Aarthi

    Hi suitablegirl
It is rare to study from one's own home living with husband. You are the luckiest one!!...Thanks for your reply.

    Hi Aarthi
Thanks for coming in here and particpating in this discussion. It is nice to be at home & study. But hostel life is independent & makes a person more responsible.
Everybody is telling it is enjoyable...... it is different.... Nobody is discussing how hostel helped(or not helped) your studies?!!!......

    Dear Chithra,
I had been at home all thro my life except 2 months- when I stayed in the hostel at the Tiruchi Zonal Training School for the training when I joined Railways, I just enjoyed my time there. There was cell phone those days and so letters were the only way of communication. I wish the training period was longer.
Now that my son is in the hostel and enjoying it, I am happy that he got that experience in life (I miss him, of course)

    Hi Varloo
Thanks for stepping in & sharing your experience with us.
You are able to enjoy hostel life away from home atleast for 2 months.Good!!
Now you allowed your son to enjoy his life at hostel. Even if you miss him now you will come to terms in due course.

Me - Schooling at home, enjoyed all the luxuries....
Since the millennium year, am away from my home.
    College,job search,work....

    Same sweet Uma ;)

I love my stay at home but hostel is the one where I learned the life.
So, both are best for me.
