    Re: doubts about old chunnis

    Hi Kushal,

You can stitch kurtis out of the chunnis. If they are plain ones, then you can embellish them with stones and kundans or beads. Let your imagination fly and give a designer look to them

    Hi Kushal:

If you wear slacks or jeans, you could use the chunnis to make short kurtis or tops with lining of course; you can shorten them and use it as scarves; you could also use them as curtains according to your furniture colors. Hope this helps! Jodi :bowdown

    Hi,

you can use these chunnis to make nice bags as well, also can be used tm make quilted patterns of your choice like cusion cover, designer bed covers, and infact you can mix and match the duppatas with curtains to make table tops.
I hope you will like it.

    Re: Chudidar Pyjama Cutting

    Hello Vani,

Thank You very much for the reply.....

I have a few more queries:
    1) Please give me the procedure to make the stand collar i.e. chinese collar.
    2) Also, I have a plain silk dress material. It is quiet shiny. I want to do some embroidery on it using beads, kundan or anything decorative. I am confused if I should first stitch the dress and then do the embroidery or should do the embroidery first? I would be stitching the dress myself!

Thank You everyone for their precious time to reply my queries:)

    Re: Chudidar Pyjama Cutting

I feel it is better to stitch the dress and do the embroidery on standing collar. For other types of neck we can embroider and then stitch.Tailors do like that.I like to stitch the dress and do the embroidery.I attach a different cloth to the neck .It helps to put the hoop.I will post the draft for standing collar soon

    Re: Chudidar Pyjama Cutting

    Hello,

Thank You so much for the prompt reply....but looks like I confused you. Those were two completely different queries. I plan to make a different neck for the silk material...not a stand collar.... :)

So I will go by your advice now...stitch the dress first and then embroider it. Also, do I have to use some special type of threads if I am using beads or kundan or chamki....or will the regular sewing machine thread will do?

    Bye
    Swati
